no more than you're a fan of the team. i'm sure i think Schaub is elite as much as you think JJ Watt isn't.

I think just about everyone is closing the book on Schaub. I was one holding out hope too, but ever since that NE game, where an elite QB just dismantled the Texans, I have had this bad feeling with Schaub. He can't lead us from anything more than a ten point deficit. If we have a two score lead and everything is working, then sure. But if some things aren't working, don't look to him to make anything special happen. Robotic Schaub with the Kubiak backup mentality. Play not to lose, instead of playing to win.

    What else is new.

Right with you. Today was the referendum. I believed too, and I still don't think Schaub is terrible. But pretty clear the combination of Matt and Gary isn't going to win a Super Bowl, ever. Crushing. And what makes it so painful is that you KNOW both are here for the foreseeable future.

Lol. So much for "good, not great" eh? I figured that was just your way of buying time until he turned in a clunker or two.

Nope. Still feel the same way. Kubiak has transformed him into a good QB. Nothing more.

His clunkers came in '09 and '10. Said the same thing then. Good, not great.

Trying to win with Kubiak and Schaub is like seeing the Rockets try to win with no lottery picks in the starting line-up. Except the opposite. The mediocre Rockets of the past years had all heart, no talent. This team...

Why is everybody only talking about Schaub in Kubiak like there are only problems? Statistically, Schaub has not had that bad a year and was voted into the freaking pro-bowl for Christ's sakes! I feel the Texans have more pressing issues, like the right side of the O-Line, the Cushing-less defense, and the last ranked special teams. Why won't anyone talk about anything rather than "Schaub not being able to carry us to a Super Bowl"?

    Because people are idiots.

Instead of asking AJ to not drop a total gimmie touchdown or asking the special teams to not give up an uncontested 100 yard runback, we blame Schaub instead.

It takes more than one brain cell to think critically about why and how the Texans lose games. Dumping it all on the QB is just a lot more convenient.

Foster scored 2 plays after Dre's drop and the ST coach should have been let go the first 5 weeks this season.

Your defending of Schaub and Kubiak is laughable.

    Depends

If the next three games are
    Texans 9 - Opponnent 3
    Texans 12 - Opponnent 9
    Texans 6 - Opponnent 13

Then yea . . .I would think he is a failure and the team underachieved

OK Great, let's go with AJ's false start that negated a free play and resulted in a field goal.

Or the atrocious run blocking by the right side.

Or Brandon Harris' 98324th pass interference/holding penalty.

I haven't defended Kubiak at all. His playcalling and prep has sucked.

In fact, I'd argue that a team that starts 10-1 and then goes 1-3 falls more on the shoulders of the coach, who hasn't made adjustments as the year has gone on.

The players have shown they can execute, but Kubiak is very conservative and the biggest knock on Wade is that his entire scheme is predictable and relies on sheer athleticism to win.

because it's the easiest thing to do, especially for those who just troll. The criticism is warranted though as he had two s**** performances back to back, which I have never seen before. But You'd think he led the league with 50 ints the way people post. that play to casey, we've seen him throw an interception maybe 5 times in the past 4 seasons. It's money, except today.

Ok: EVERYBODY NEEDS TO CHILL THE #$@! OUT

Thank you. Ok let's put this in perspective: You know who else had a rough stretch as a quarterback this year: The Oh-so perfect Drew Brees and and Aaron Rodgers. Except it was even worse: Brees threw 5 interceptions in one game during the stretch iirc. Every quarterback has their ups and downs. And we beat the mess out of the Bengals with Yates last year, do you really think we will not win again? Honestly, I think we will kick into gear come playoff time. Were the Giants not an .500 team last year? And we are 12-4 and we are complaining? what do you think their fanbase was thinking? Eli Manning was in Shaub's position until he lead his team to Superbowl: He was not considered elite and even after he won his first superbowl. I remember the Giant's team not having the greatest running game, playing sloppy on defense, and then kicked into another gear in the playoffs. Why can the Texans not do the same thing? We will be fine in the playoffs. Their look on their faces after this game was of pure disgust in their play: I think they will be fired up to play, including the scrutinized Noodle Arm Susan.

If Yates isn't the answer, the Texans need to find a better backup, because Schaub might get worse next season. It would blow to see Kubiak pull a Rex Ryan, and keep trotting Schaub out on the field, because he literally has no other option.

    right there with you, sadly

I'm hoping the Cowboys cut Romo, cause I think he's better than they think and enough of an upgrade over Schaub (and anyone else that might be available)
