Because I think we can win with Schaub and I don't think we can improve our QB position before our window of opportunity (i.e. offensive players' primes, defensive players leaving for paychecks) closes.

That qualifies as "love" to you?

and Kubiwhack too. they got to go. They both are sorry as hell. Dont deserve to be at the head of an NFL franchise. Kubiwhack needs to go back to Pius or some ****. GTF outta here. Schaub should just retire. He is the worst QB. Cant run, Cant throw, unclutch, short arms, doesnt audible, cant throw on the run, isnt a leader. Same for Kubiwhack. **** these jokes

we could have just as easily lost in Denver, Chicago, Detroit and vs Jacksonville & Indy and be 6-10. These guys gotta go, Mcnair needs to grow a pair and fire these losers

QBs a hell of a lot worse than Matt Schaub have made it to the Superbowl.

I'd say my theory that we can win with him is pretty realistic, and not "love".

If I loved the guy, I wouldn't be saying "he's the best we can do for now".

schaub cant win big games. if donny wants to believe a game in week 3 and week 7 are big games than so be it.. schaub hasnt proven a damn thing in this league outside of compliing meaningless stats and racking up w's against bad teams and only recently a few good teams..

if the texans stick with schaub for the next 3-4 years, andrew luck will pick up where peyton left off in the colts dominance of the texans. luck will own the division and we will be back to where we were from 2007-2009. trying desperately to grab one of the final WC spot..

the whole concept behind "hes good enough to win" isnt a winning strategy. its settling..

I'd say at this point it's easier for us to put together a great defense than to start over from scratch at QB.

If we made it to the Superbowl and lost, would you consider Schaub a failure and the team an underachiever?

It depends. If we lost it would probably be because of Schaub.
