Who iz he knoking off dis list? 4 names to get him as a #7 QB please Spoiler Andrew Luck Brees Aaron Rogers Peyton Manning Tom Brady Mathew Stafford Matt Ryan Eli Manning Robert Griffin III Ben Roethlisberger da reazon I said undertrow iz........he does it on ints......seemz it would be easy to fix.....why people get postal if u say one thing bad bout the guy......
True. I shouldnt have wrapped quotes around your post but I think his interceptions are blown out of proportion. And take 4 names off this list, this season? I would take Schaub over Luck, Rg3, Stafford and Roethlisberger. This season only. Which is all that matters right now
Or perhaps the people making the former argument aren't making the latter ones? Why assume it's the same people making both sides of the argument? I was one of the people who defended Schaub endlessly during our crappy seasons for his inability to prevent opposing long TD drives from the sideline. Is it really hating if I want to give some credit to the defense now that they've helped him make these comebacks? Just as everything wasn't purely black for Schaub when our defense sucked, doesn't mean it should be purely white now that the defense is giving our offense chances. There's a reason why even die hard Texans fans think of Schaub as more of a top 10 QB, rather than an elite QB. He's very good but not perfect. And I see nothing wrong with praising our defense or holding Detroit out of FG range 2 consecutive drives in the 4th. Those were very impressive and laid the groundwork for the comeback.
and if the defense didn't give up 1st downs on multiple 3rd down and longs, Schaub wouldn't have to drive 90+ yards. Schaub literally proved all his doubters wrong the last two games. when given the chance, he is more than capable of making a comeback.
Schaub is better than Luck, Peyton, Stafford, RG3 this season. You could even make an argument against Brees too. Ignore the names, watch the games.
I'm not convinced. The only reason Schaub has played so well the last 2 games is because his receivers have been catching his passes and his offensive linemen have been pass blocking. Until he can lead a comeback against the 85 Bears with his receivers dropping passes and his linemen letting defensive players sack him on every play, he is still not clutch.
I wouldnt go that far...I think Peyton has been one of the top 2 QBs this season. And I think RG3 has been top 5. My season list: Peyton Rodgers Brady Griffin Ryan Brees Schaub Big Ben Freeman
Schaub Has Jersey and Shoes Sent to Hall of Fame yep.. elite. he would have been super elite if he would've had another 30yds LINK Schaub Has Jersey and Shoes Sent to Hall of Fame Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub was honored when his jersey and cleats were flown to Canton, Ohio to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Schaub was being honored for his 527 yard passing day (43 completions on 55 attempts) with 5 touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 18th. The monumental day landed Schaub with the second best passing day in NFL history tying him with Warren Moon and only behind Norm Van Brocklin who passed for 554 yards in 1951 to top single game passing list.
they're game planning revolves more around passing. if we were down and resorted to throwing it 40-55 times like these past 2 games, stats would be the same. Peyton's touchdowns inside the 10 are plays that if we had no running game, kubiak could draw up in his sleep. I think local media experts and fantasy dorks should use the internet machine and view where the "elite" quarterbacks were, numbers wise, in the years where the "elite" quarterbacks actually won the superbowl. Numbers schaub has routinely put up.
But they aren't. It doesn't matter what could be, it's what it is now. Peyton's a better QB right now.
I heard on the radio this morning schaub's 5 worst games have been his primetime games. I think passer rating is like 65 in those games.
that's pretty startling. get all the bad primetime games out of his system. he'll get his chance again to shine in the playoffs.
Yes. The 49ers can't pick up the phones fast enough for the teams calling about Alex Smith. Dude is E-L-I-T-E.
You lost me... are you suggesting the 9ers inability to trade Alex Smith is indicative of something besides the fact he was benched after the trade deadline?......
