I'd have been over it, but he did it *again* yesterday. Going for the touchdown on what, 3rd and 1? 3rd and 2? IN FIELD GOAL RANGE?? And how did he respond--"Well, it would have been OK if I had just gotten it higher." Rosenfumble has a lot to prove. Not only is he making stupid choices, he's now *defending* them publicly. All that said, I hope he proves me wrong. I hope he's Rosenfavre instead of Rosenfumble. I hope he feeds me helping after helping of crow for the next four weeks. But somehow I doubt it.
I'm hoping that the stupid mistakes Sage made in the Indy game and in this Minnesota game was him taking unnecessary chances to maximize his impact in the short time he had on the field. If he thinks he has to earn his spot on the team he might play more loosely and try to do too much. Of course, from what I remember, Sage has a history of slinging the ball a little too much. I will be curious to see how he responds.
oh yeah, its his fault for not rallying the team after he came in the game in a hole and posted a 103 rating. dude gets flustered after his sucky staff at time management didn't get the play in. and he still has a better pct with them than schaub. so lay off just a bit
Depends on the severity of the tear. If it was torn completely, there's no alternative to surgery. Since they didn't say it was ruptured, and didn't mention surgery, I'd guess that it is a partial tear. How bad it is/how long it takes to heal depends on the extent of the tear. Ligaments are very tricky healers. Even moreso than bone, they are avascular, meaning they don't get a steady supply of nutrients to help heal (polar opposite of muscle). Even when they do heal, they usually aren't as strong and tight as they were pre-injury. When you sprain your ankle severely, you usually have a 'bad' ankle stay with you the rest of your life. Same goes with the ACl/PCL/MCL/LCL. It's possible that if there's no surgery now and the tear was significant, that a complete tear is only a matter of time for Schaub. He should be alright to return with a brace in December, but there will only be a few games left to play. If he's not back for Dec 1 vs the Jags, I'll guess they put him on IR since yes, he could very easily worsen the tear even after 4 weeks. Evan
well he was again playing in comeback mode.. it's a diff game. i want to see him the next few weeks from the start. and DD, i think schaub still gets his job back b/c he's the better qb... barring sage going undefeated and playing almost mistake free football the ravens' secondary can be thrown upon.. sage should do well this wk if he's capable
No, it's his fault for throwing an interception in fieldg goal range in an obvious running down into double coverage. Well spoken. Sooo, let's make him the starter and give him a big contract! It's my opinion. I'll speak it when I please, thank you.
Schaub threw that INT while on the run on a gimp leg (that turned out to be a torn MCL). Bad decision cause he should know his limitations, but at least you can give him an "i understand why". Sage was in full comeback mode.. he did make those drives down the field, but it's a different situation. And man, at that time in the game, with the score as it was...in EASY FG position...3rd and short.. ugh. Just have to be smarter. Need those points there. That HAS to be in your QB's head.
if they kick a field goal they lose and you're wrong, we've already been through this, schaub is just as to prone, especially against good teams. you've already admitted this a few weeks ago. yet you still come in with this silly rosenfumble hate when you've admitted already that schaub has the same problem and he double the same freakin problem in the same freakin game. so there is no opinion or argument, its just hate
If there's anything we've learned, the Texans organization are a stubborn bunch. If they say someone is their QB, they're going to stick with them come hell or high water rather than cut their losses. Schaub isn't going anywhere for a while, Sage will be gone soon.. best we can hope for is that they draft a QB for depth purposes and keep competition open.
No way. Numbers with no context are much better. Dude is as smart as a doornail. That's why teams are lining up to make him their starter.
To further elaborate on Sage's INT.. my problem is this. The play call was 100% one of those "if they bite on the fake, he'll be wide open.. if they don't bite, this play is dead" ones. They didn't bite. 2 WR's with really only 1 available before the pressure came, and he was doubled without a hint of daylight in any direction. You KNOW what the play is. They didn't bite! You're in FG range! Run, throw it away, take a sack... you absolutely cannot make that throw. There was zero chance, and yet the ball went up for no reason.
^ Offensive coordinator makes the PASSING call, not Sage. Yes, he made a bad decision throwing into endzone, but the FS was there and Sage didn't see him. This is what he will learn from this mistake. Houston Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating S. Rosenfels 21 29 224 72.4 7.7 2 16 2 1 103.2 M. Schaub 11 16 139 68.8 8.7 3 20 0 1 69.5 Who's better? 1/2 game each.
geesh? geesh? pgab, I'm not sure why you overreact so badly to certain postings. I have confidence that Sage will do well, and I'm giving a reason in my post as to why some of his failings in the past might have been a result of the situation and not something for us to expect in the next month (or longer). I'm not bashing him or ripping anyone that thinks he might be good for us, I'm just pointing out that some of my beef with the guy in the past has been his rash decision making. Call it one mistake if you must, but he only played one half. Schaub can make two bad mistakes in a game and be hammered for it. Sage makes one bad mistake in a half a game and he is accountable as well. If you think that my post somehow exaggerated the mistake in the Minny game, please point out where and how.
just trying to incite, swoly? stupid.. (not you, but trying to incite where ppl already seem to be arguing a lot)
That is your opinion. Let us see how it plays out. I have already wished Rosenfumble the best and expressed my hopes that he shoves much crow down my eager throat. We shall see.
They bit on it, but he hesitated and subsequently underthrew his man in stride. Vonta Leach is not a man I want catching a pass on the run anyway.. but that's more on the coaches.
I'm beginning to like your responses now, msn. Wishing people the best is better than saying "you s..." Not really. Just FACTS.
