I wish I knew more about throwing mechanics because it's hard to believe there's an innate biological factor that limits your throwing range, independent of actual upper body strength. Is it a quick twitch muscle fiber thing?

I'm a pretty stern Schaub supporter, but I get what he's saying. Sometimes you want a QB who is doing anything he can to win, even when he's slinging it like Favre, instead of somebody who is playing not to mess up.

except one was absolutely TERRIBLE forever when he first got playing time. The other did a solid to great job for a while. (not supporting Schaub, but I am saying his first X years starting were not even slightly comparable to Smith's)
And one can say that, one is young and their way up, while the other is older and on his way down "decline". It doesn't matter what you did yesterday. What have you done lately. As I said in the other thread, Shaub has played the same way from the jump, but it is getting noticed more because the team is better and we have higher expectations. Even when he was throwing all those yards, he still had a weak arm and is not mobile at all. The accurate thing is overblown, because any QB should be able to hit a wide open receiver, which our offense is made to get guys coming across the middle open. If you noticed most of those passes are caught because AJ or OD made shoe string or diving catches, it is never put to where the receiver can actually catch and run. If he has to throw into coverage, his accuracy drops way down. He just can't make those throws. One thing I give him though is that the guy is smart and will not make many mistakes.
you really think that cost them the game? who made the poor decision to throw across his body to a covered receiver? btw, just to be clear i don't think Peyton's the main reason they lost the game. it was Denver's defense. but that INT in OT was his fault.
well first, you have to be in these types of positions before you can make a stupid mistake that cost your team games.. just becuase schaub hasnt*, doesnt mean he wont.. *in the playoffs

i dont know why some texan fans are so apprehensive about moving on from matt schaub. its not like he set the bar so high. i think Keenum has much more potential than schaub ever had as a football player.
