if you have one year to win it all, and assuming all are healthy for the whole year, who do you take: brady, manning, rodgers or brees? i think brady and rodgers are both 1(a) and manning/brees are 1(b) for me.

    Some of you guys...

I'm cool with the Schaub criticism when he plays bad. But give the guy some credit when he plays well instead of listing BS reasons why it shouldn't count.

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but I found it amusing. The NFL QB power rankings according to Bill Simmons.

I think we're luckier to have Schaub than most of his haters are willing to acknowledge. Can't wait till he's out of the league (obviously want him to stay for a long time, just making a point) and the fans here realize that good QBs aren't so easy to find.

When was the last time anyone has ever talked about a non-hyped QB(as in not a top-5 pick type) who never made the playoffs? Regardless of what his play actually is?

Schaub can play the same, but the Texans actually do something this year by having better defense, run the ball on everyone, etc., and he'd get a bump up in the ratings despite not being a better QB.

Brady seems low #2 behind Rodgers? I'd wager 90% of America would agree with that ranking.

Simmons is judging them based on this year, and this has been a down year for Schaub relatively.

Vick strikes me as high, still better than his Falcon days, but fell to earth from last season.

I don't see how he could rate Cutler there at all. Nothing could back that up.

I don't think he is judging them on anything else other than his own context of coolness. If he was judging them from body of work that list would actually make sense, but then throws in newton in there:rolleyes:

If he was judging them on this year, Eli has been playing better than Big ben and so has schaub. Rivers, Big ben and michael vick have been sucking. A lot of it due to shady line protection and defenses giving up leads. I know...who would have thought that football is a team game!

    8 weeks in...
    1. Brady
    2. Rodgers(he hasn't played an agressive defense so far. Bears ehh)
    3. Drew Brees
    4. Eli
    5. Schaub.

That would be difficult since the Texans are in the AFC
