I hear you guys, but there's just something about owning an album. I like the collected works from one artist (or group). I like the cover art. I like the liner notes. I like the progression of the album. I can only guess some of you ipod people have WAY short attention spans. I like to appreciate an album in its entirety.
Exactly. This is why I've never been a user of things like Napster or Kazaa (for an extended period of time) and really don't have a desire to get an Ipod. I love my CDs.

have you been to one of their shows? saw them in austin in February w/ the Del McCoury band.... great time.
I was there. The sound mix (at least at the Meridian) was ... hmm ... let's just say it wasn't ideal for an acoustic act. I think the sound guy REALLY likes a hard-hitting bass. Still a great show and a good time had by all.

Toast....I forgot to tell you that you guys sounded good at the Watermelon Dance. I only caught the last couple of songs but what I heard was nice. I was hanging out imbibing with the juice girl (the Last Concert owner's niece). I think we made eye contact a couple of times after your set but I was too inebriated to walk around and find you.

I missed the one in Feb. The only time I've seen them was the ACL Festival in 2003. They were fantastic. 2 Hits & the Joint Turned Brown is my new favorite song.
My guess is the sound guy you are talking about is the one who taped the copy I got. It's available on the live music archive. http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=22105
Hey thanks! I'm surprised you were there that early. I was having a hard time managing the excessive heat and my hangover, but still had fun regardless. Yeah, you shoulda found me and said hey. I had a pocket full of drink tickets that woulda made your play with the juice girl much smoother. Me, I had my eye on that body art chicka. Dunno if you remember her, but damn she was smokin'! And she wanted me. I could tell by the way she'd smile and slowly walk away from my general direction.
