    You never know. If we were to find old Prothean technology like in Mass Effect, it could really change things in within 100 years time.

    Yep. It would take 23 million years to get there in our fastest vehicle.

    The frustrating thing is that even if we could travel at the speed of light, it would take 600 years, and I don't see that happening anytime soon - if ever.

    It would definitely be a one shot deal if we had a spaceship that fast, but for the passengers the journey would be much shorter because of time dilation.

    So if we sent out a colony ship it is total feasible -- if we figured out a way to push a ship up to light speed... or neutrino speed.

    Just watched this too. I like the ending to try and give perspective.

    If you started flying non-stop around the largest known star in the universe at 900km/hour, it would take 1100 years to circle it.
