Prior to the Russ trade, Chris Paul's perceived trade value was in the dirt because of his dodgy hamstrings, his age, and his 2018-9 season for the Rockets. As a result, Morey had to mortgage the future (under Tilman's orders) to swap Russ and Chris.

This is why a lot of Rockets fans get upset about the popular narrative that the media pushes. It probably shouldn't influence NBA decision-makers, but it really does play a big role in how a player is perceived.

We all knew Chris Paul was the superior player (and so did Morey).

 

Wait for healthy Westbrook for valuation.. Crhis was not healthy last year and everyone assumed he was ****. Now Westbrook is kinda same(but still better for me than last years Chris), once he gets his rhythm back to what it was prepandemic he is far from worst contract. Matter of fact he was playing at the top10 in the league level. These analysts can suck a dick Im rollin with Westy till the end

 

Far more skill than Russ. But you can say that about anyone compared to Chris. The question mark always was his physique whether he is too short for toughest level of playoff basketball, quick enough at this stage of his career or basically is he durable enough to be healthy through the whole playoffs

 

Westbrook hasn’t shot above 40% from the field in the playoffs since 2016 and is a bad defender. He’s an absolutely terrible playoff performer and doesn’t equate to Chris Paul at his worst let alone this year.

There is no way in Hell the rockets trade WB. The only way they trade him is if Harden tells them to and I don’t think that will happen.
