Are we sure that Scoot Henderson is better than Amen Thompson?

Also a major height difference with Rondo, who was 6'1". You can envision him becoming something like a better-scoring Rondo if the shot never comes around but other aspects of his game develop well, which would be a very good starter/occasional all-star.

Scoot's shooting is already much more functional--if you look up his G-League stats they don't include his exhibition games. With those included, he shot 34% from three, IIRC. His FT% was also better, and he displayed an excellent midrange game at times. I think Scoot is much, much safer, but the upside might be just a little bit less due to his shorter height and slightly lower athleticism.

There's a clear Top 3 in this draft. Trading would be dumb.

We need shooters. You’ve already got one shooting liability on the court in Sengun. How many shooting projects can the team keep on the court at one time?

Sengun shot a better percentage from 3 than Jabari.

    .333 Vs .307

Jalen Green shot .338 only .005 better than Sengun.

I hope you're right if the Rockets take him.

There's a decent chance he could be a bust and the doubters will be proven right, but what can I say, I like swinging for the fences.

According to the odds, if we don't get 1 or 2, we will mostly be 5 or 6th pick.

Yes--our highest odds are for pick #5 (27.8%), then #6 (20%), then #1 (14%). So we should all get comfortable with the possibility of ending up with a guy like Jarace Walker, Cam Whitmore, Ausar Thompson, or Anthony Black, because there's a really high chance we'll be picking in that range, unfortunately. It is possible we could trade the pick either up or back, but I wouldn't hold your breath on the front office being able to pull that off, it's not an easy task.

The Rockets #1 picks are reserved strictly for big men: Sampson, Olajuwon, Yao. . . .Wembanyama. It's got to be our time.

If Rondo was taller and the most explosive player in the league.

Get ready to cry. There is no way the Rockets get the # 1 pick. Prepare for a pick in the 4-6 range.

I would be happy with Whitmore, or Walker. Positionless basketball FTW!

I like Amen. He's very decisive, good size, and has that elite first step that has a good Allstar projection. I just watched 3 mins of his highlights.

Scoot has all that with similar cp3 tools. His downfall is his height.

    I like either one.

How is Amen shot? Did the 3 mins you watched show him shooting any 3s or jump shots??

How bad is his shot and shot form??

How much work does his shot need??

I've loved Walker's game all year--I think he's the perfect fit with Jabari and Sengun too as a three-man frontcourt rotation.

With Whitmore, there's legitimate superstar upside, but he needs to get better with his court vision, passing, and decisionmaking. You can envision a scenario where he's still growing, too, and ends up being scarily similar to LeBron's size, strength, and athleticism.
