Hey man all good. Honestly I could sit there and just do a million variations of these things but work and stuff gets in the way. I think I'm done with Rockets concepts but I may take another look down the line. There's so many ways to take it. I think the R in the roundel is the next likely step for the brand once new ownership and nike get involved. But you never know...
you think it's a nike issue? its not. its a rockets issue first and foremost. if only it were that easy for Nike just to generate a jersey on their own and do whatever they want
if i was forced to stay with the current template.. here are some fixes i would make -make 'rockets' bigger -add more color/flair to the trim -go back to old numbers -add some yellow
That's not what my post says at all. I'm saying the lack of care on our organization's end is much of the issue. Whether we designed it or Nike, the Rockets approved it.
I'm with you. I don't know how they made the current whites look even worse, but they did. They REALLY did.
these are clean as hell. another reason i want us to go back to red/yellow (and why i'm not biggest fan of the black jersey) is to not look so much like Chicago/Portland

I'm not sure #2 is an actual rule anywhere except in your post. You're saying jerseys have to be 2 colors? Does that only count for the dark jerseys then? I think NHL jerseys are better than NBA jerseys on average, and they use multiple colors. This is a pedantic post. According to wiki, the Rockets colors are red/silver/black/white, but even that seems dumb, when we know yellow is in the team's color palette, and both blue and green have been historically. With jerseys as awful as our current ones, nothing is sacred!
for a 2 Billion Dollar Franchise, Our uniforms look like they were made for the Flea Market. The Bulls uniforms look super nice. Could you imagine if Les owned the Bulls during the Jordan years? He would have like a flying Cow with paisley pinstripes on their jersey
Nice attempt at some tweaks. 100% agree that the Rockets "FONT" needs to be bigger. That is my biggest gripe by far. Looks at all the other Nike jersey updates, ALL have bigger fonts. Your trim/stroke suggestions are worth looking at. Either the black or yellow depending on the application.
FLYING cow with pinstripes... I'm all for it! I think Tfor3 has the best concept for new uniforms on his icon pic. Can someone do a full rendering on a player.
The Rockets have managed to have a jersey that looks worse than literally every single fan version every created. Seriously, every single fan version of our jersey that has ever been created over the past 15 years looks better than what the team actually chose. And no, the uni's were not cool when they first came out. They've been a complete abomination since day 1. Total confusion from management for the better part of 2 decades.
Nope, they've been hideous the entire time regardless of style and which players were wearing them. A costume specialist from Bram Stroker's Dracula dreamt these up and somehow sold them to Les or whoever makes these decisions in marketing. Hasn't looked cool even for 1 second.
Great work. Unfortunately, it's incredibly easy to come up with something that's leaps and bounds better than what the team actually wears but I like your style.
