He won't need to dribble and create on his own as much this year, especially comparing this year's second unit to last: Last Year: Moochie Oscar Willis/Collier Eddie Williams/Tmo This Year: Moochie/Tito Oscar/Tito (Steve quite a bit too) Cato/Eddie/MT (or Ming instead of Cato at first) Eddie/KT KT/Nachbar (some Eddie) A lot of first team level players are on our second squad this year, and they should provide more rebounding and firepower. Especially KT, Eddie and Nachbar.
OMG...a Scandal reference? Paging H.G. Wells H.G. Wells to the white telephone... Confusius say " Believing TRG like banging head on wall, gives you headaches"
Who would want Mooch? As much as I hate the way he dribbles all ****ing day, he is a clutch shooter and with our new additions should know his role, get the ball up and set the offense. Im all for getting rid of him however. But if he knows his role, it's alright. Maybe we could work something out for Rod Strickland. I like the idea of a steady, pass first, veteran point guard of the bench who will take smart shots when necessary.
Since you have seen him up close, let me ask you....Does he look like a bid dude to you? I did the high five (fans go on the court for player introductions) and I was taken by how big he was. Taller than most people I know, and rippling with musels. If he hung with me and my buddies we could whip up on anybody. On the court he looks like a little kid. But in real life he is a big dude. Do you share that opinion? By the way, I agree with you cool analysis. Everybody else was too cool to acknowledge the short folk on the floor, but Mooch made eye contact and responded to my blatherings with a "thanks babe".
Moochie Norris is not going to be dealt unless the Rockets are over whelmed by another team, and that is not going to happen. Tito Mattox is a rookie and didn't even play college basketball last year. In the summer league he played out of control alot of times. In the rockets system the back up point guard is very important, and the Rockets are not going to trust that position to a rookie.
Personally, I have never tried to F**K a bobblehead, Moochie or otherwise. It seems that it would be a difficult task unless A. It had a hole drilled through it allowing free movement or B. The owner of said bobblehead was, um, less than endowed. Even then I don't think it would work. Overall, I would tend to agree. Although I have never F****D a bobblehead, if I tried and was successful I believe I, too, would hate it. So I agree.
Moochie has to go!!!!!!!!!! Mo Taylor too! (why couldn't he have been indicted like Webber and put under the jail) ANd bye-bye Cato...
Although I wouldn't mind finding a better backup pg, I don't think he is going anywhere. It's not just the dribbling around too much that I hate, it's that fact that we have a backup that walks the ball up the court. I wish we had a backup that provided a spark, added some extra energy to the game and pushed the freakin ball up the court, kind of like Bobby Jackson.
I like the Mooch, although he does drive me mad sometimes with his crazy dribbling and fly-like pattterns. He's quick, takes amazing shots, and the hair, holy Don King, the hair! If the Rox get rid of him, who's gonna dance on the scoring table after hitting a clutch winning shot?
are these the ramblings of sexual repression? there's this new thing called an adjective, and...nevermind
For the record: Mooch does not "slow it down." He plays the heralded "Drunken Master" style of offense, of which he is the Grand Sensei.
Moochie will be here, and be a nice change of pace off the bench. Last years team had no chemistry, and who was he suppose to pass it too? We had no shooting threats.... Moochie's dribble will be more valuable this year than ever. The guys that will be setting picks for him (Taylor, Yao, Griffin) all have nice range, unike Cato and Thomas. If moochie gets traded it will be because Maddox prooves himself early and often. Rudy wont be ready to just hand over the backup job to a Rook in the event Franchise gets hurt. Too bad Maddox & Moochie arent consistent 3 pt shooting threats, we still need more pure shooters....but so does every team in the NBA. ----RCKTBachar
I think Moochie will be with us for a while. Last year, the rockets had a wide out, guard-oriented offense because we had no low post play. Basically the strategy against the rockets was stop the guards, win the game. I think with the addition of Ming who looks to play the low post we will have a more structured offense (which means more passing). This year I think you will be seeing Moochie bringing up the ball and looking to pass inside more. Also, I read the articles here about the summer games and how Eddie was working hard on his inside game. If so, Moochie may have two low post players he can pass the ball to. Plus, I have heard color commentators say that Moochie is more of a pure point guard than Stevie is. That should count for something. Lastly, Moochie does have the ability to be a spark off the bench.
