Hey, you won't catch me defending tucker. The difference between Liggins and Weber may not be marginal but in terms of how they move the needle for the overall Rockets team, I don't think it's substantial. I'm not hating on Liggins, I just want our 4th guard (past Harden, Paul, Gordon) to be someone who can run an offense. Right now when Paul sits it's basically a summer league game out there.
What’s become apparent is that the lulls this team has consistently gone through over the past several years is fully based on the high variance of play of our secondary players Our front court is also fully exposed and a move to shore up the center and power forward are needed; however, as with the astros - I wouldn’t feel pressured to make a move today. Take your lumps until the right moves are available. Bogus(t) is not that player. He breaks the offense. Chandler as a potential cut Deandre for Anderson / zhou Gasol in Memphis for capela / Anderson Just a few of the targets
I believe Liggins or Jamaal Franklin woukd be a significant upgrade to Weber. I like Weber, but he's not ready to contribute on a championship team - needs to be in G League to improve game and body. Liggins was on Cavs team that beat GSW and his role would be similar to what we would need from him on Rockets, 4th/5th ball handling guard PLUS elite level defense.
If Liggins has a facilitator game, then I trust Morey to take a flyer. But this offense is reliant on people willing to take open shots.
Before this season Harden has been an Iron Man. He probably would still play but I'm sure he's been forced to shut it down which I think is some well deserved rest. If you want to talk about injury is Pat Bev sawft? He elected for surgery to end his season
