And will everyone shut the hell up for a second? Don't you all realize that this bickering we do everyday is causing us to lose our focus on what counts the most? Our government is getting away with murder. They are giving corporations the power to rape budgets and rape mid size cities. Government contracts are all but gone in the sense of corporations. The CEOs don't shed a tear when their business barginning has ruined a city and the local government. We live in the post-modern guilded age. We cannot allow these so called "pro-life" or pro guns or anti gay politicians get a free pass regardless of their stance on moral issues that they never actually change. These politicians (Bush, DeLay, Frist, et cetera) worship mammon more than God himself. We must look within our selves in order to fix the chaos that is corruption and greed in modern politics. Our counter parts a hundred years ago did not b**** and moan, but sweet out the old guard. It's time we get this phony god lovers out of office and put in someone who actually cares about the blue collar worker - the backbone of the economy.

I like this thread. Its sorta like the movie Crash, but in real life.

 

Our government is getting away with murder? Obviously you haven't got a clue what's going on. It seems you are blinded by your partisan leanings. Innocent people the world over are being terrorized and killed by these islamic terrorists. THAT's what's important. Did you not even see the video of the most recent bombings? If you or anyone else dislike the way muslims are perceived now that's just tough. We don't like being attacked by these cowards. I'd be happy to send all of those terrorists straight to allah personally.

As for the innocent muslims that that live both here and around the world. I believe if they are intelligent they are able to understand and accept why the current public perception of them exists.

Once again, to use an analogy, let's say there was a sudden rash of attacks on innocent people by a group of welsh religious extremists. Now me being of welsh descent, if I am out in public and I am displaying my welshness and people take notice of me and react with caution or suspicion, am I to get all offended and pissed off and start whining about it? No. I would understand that because of the actions of part of my ethnic group, it is natural for people to be suspicious.

What I say is the common sense truth. However I still expect some liberals to come on here and further show their ignorance by proclaiming what a racist I am. Good day.

I had no problem with reggietodd's initial post and actually chuckled at the part in question. I didn't think he meant it and hell, it was just too damn ridiculous for me to get up in arms over it. But you my friend, are a blithering idiot.

Not only that, but the initial post did not even clarify the women's ethnicity. Were they Pakistani or were they Indian? Perhaps Persian or maybe Saudi Arabian? Or maybe they were from Malaysia or Bangladesh. Doesn't matter to your kind though, there are no lines. In your paranoia you would have it that they are all one and the same. I've got news for you buddy - the majority of brown people living in Houston are NOT Muslim but rather Sikh or Hindu. Not that that would matter to you.

Almost missed that. Looking back at his post you almost have to wonder if it isn't simply a parody of the racist mindset. The double s'ed "Chinesse" as an all encompassing Asian race is certainly a starting point for humor. I think he would have been better served going that route.

 

Are all racists ignorant of the group they hate? Do they tend to lump people together in one group to simplify things for their simple minds? (i.e. killing an Indian Sikh because he 'looked Muslim with that turban')
