i went and saw terminator 3. i will say it was a pretty good movie. Not as good as T2 but who was expecting that??? There is a lot of action and everything comes together at the end which as it was pointed out earlier could set the stage for T4 if Arnolds decides not to run for govenor of california. Overall i'd give it 4 out of 5 stars
Better than I expected. I honestly thought it was going to be sh!tty movie in which Warner Bros is trying to make money out of a franchise thats last movie was made what, TWELVE YEARS AGO? But, it was pretty damn entertainning, although a bit short, and had a great morale lesson and Kristanna Loken is HOT AS HELL!!! On a side note, Kristanna Loken was on Unhappily Ever After playing the rival of Nikki Cox character, which is ironic cause Nikki Cox was on T2, she was one of the girls the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) went up to when asked where John Conner would hang out abd they suggested the mall.
Just got back from seeing T3. To echo others here: better than I expected. Man, I love explosions and all (I call them "Splosions"), but was there ANY backdrop or part of the set that DIDN'T explode into a fiery piece of rubble? It reminded me of the scene in "Loaded Weapon 1" (yeah, the Emilio Estevez comedy) when their car exploded, the taxi they subseuqently hailed exploded, and then the bikes they confiscated exploded for no good reason. Splosions for the sake of splosions. (And yeah, I loved every minute of it...) Overall, I thought it was a pretty good movie. Did anyone NOT see the ending coming? I mean, for crying out loud, everyone knows there's gonna be another sequel. Plus, the name of the freaking movie is "Rise of the Machines." Let's not give it away or anything...
Let's just say the movie definitely needed hot-leather-clad-female-Terminator. If it had some dude as the Terminator again it would have been like T-2, but ya know...kind of sucky. There just wasn't much to it, and I felt the same way about T3 as I did during the Matrix 2. It was nice to look at, but that's about it.
It was okay, but why the hell did this movie have to become an action-Comedy?????? Argh!!!! T-2 was one of the last great serious action movies, with real suspense. There was a lot of action and some suspense here, but the mood was way too light. Too many jokes, but only a few made people laugh out loud. And the John Conner character talks exactly like Ryan Phillipe in The Way of the Gun. So overall the movie was okay, but sucked compared to T-2.
Ahhh, yes...Way of The Gun. One of the greatest opening scenes ever. Sara Silverman dropping f-bombs and talking smack.
That was really good. Excellent ending. Well done. Hot chick did great. She could have killed the whole series, but instead rejuvenated it. Kudos. I'm in for part 4. The only strange thing was that with all the destruction throughout the entire movie why didn't they make the nuclear sequence bad ass. Again, great ending.
there won't be a T4 if Arnold runs for govenor of california. Probably won't be a true lies 2 either. So let's hope he postpones it a little while longer.
Just got back from it, thought it was cool. Esp the whole "John would have met Katherine's father if T2 hadnt happened" stuff. yet another movie that you can talk about fate and destiny afterwards. Nice. Oh, and the truck chase scene was freaking great!!!!!!!!
Saw it this weekend, it's alright. I really really liked the ending. But if this Terminator was a brand new one and not the same old one that got destroyed at the end of T2, how did he know to pull down the sun visor in the truck to look for the keys like he learned in T2? Hmmmmm.... I saw another inconsistency with that in the movie but I can't remember it now. Oh well. Anyone checked out the Alamo Drafthouse over at West Oaks Mall? It's a decent set up over there. Having dinner while you watch a flick is a little different.
I thought the movie was great, but it did seem a little short. I liked it better than the first two. I don't know why everyone is jocking T-2. I thought it was boring. This movie was really entertaining though.
Dude, I hate to break it to you, but the entire series takes a giant crap on the space-time continuum. 3 TIMES a Terminator has been sent back to kill someone, and it's failed each time. How does the timeline NOT change in each instance? SPOILER: If John was MEANT to be in that bunker at the end with Kate (in order to become the great leader he eventually turns into), how would he end up there if NO Terminators were trying to kill him? And if he's NOT supposed to end up there, then wouldn't the timeline change? And if the timeline changes, do the machines win? Does John still put himself into a position to send back Kyle Reese (the human dude from the first movie) to save his mother? The whole thing is confusing as hell (nothing makes sense), which is why you JUST HAVE TO TURN YOUR BRAIN OFF. Here's another question: You're Skynet, and you're all-powerful. You've already sent back 3 Terminators, and they all sucked ass at their individual assignments. At what point do you decide to send back an entire freaking battalion of kickass robots to deal with Sarah/John Connor instead of just the one?
