rimbaud: off the topic, but have you eaten at Wonderful Vegetarian. My wife and I love that place. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Jeff, Yes, I really did go there last night, really did see Rudy T, also. I had not been in a while, but I used to go there fairly consistently (but more to Green Planet Vegetarian down Westheimer) when I lived over there. Now that my wife and I live inside the loop, it is a little harder getting out there. Pretty far for you also, isn't it? It is very good, but we have never ordered from the menu - just buffet. Have you had any menu food? ------------------ "One evening I seated Beauty on my knees. And I found her bitter." "I am a sick man...I am a wicked man. An unattractive man. I think my liver hurts."
It's pretty bad when you see a thread about the home team coach and think -- Man, what is one of the Survivor Cast members doing here??? Rudy T = Rockets Coach Rudy = Old guy from Survivor ------------------ Stay Cool...
Its pretty bad when people are actually keeping track of the cast members of survivor. Haha. Just kidding. ------------------ When I die I want to go peacefully like my grandfather. Not screaming like the passengers in the back seat!
C'mon, Crisco, I was expecting more from you. I am sad. ------------------ "One evening I seated Beauty on my knees. And I found her bitter." "I am a sick man...I am a wicked man. An unattractive man. I think my liver hurts."
So's your momma. don't worry, you are on my list now Rimmy. ------------------ I am so exasperated that I could expectorate.
Jeff, My parents and I eat at Quan Yin every other week. It's very good fake Vietnamese food. It's out on Bellaire in the Kroger shopping center. Oh, and Rudy T use to eat there on a weekly basis, I don't know if he still does. It seems like he might be a vegetarian.
Jeff, Green Planetused to be my favorite. Like Wonderful, it has been a while since I went regularly. Their buffet is saller (and cheaper) than wonderful. It is somewhat similar - all vegan. They also have Buddhist pamphlets to read, so it is an added element. I have heard of Quan Yin, but have yet to venture that far out, although i used to live out there. My wife and I have decided that we will venture out more to Wonderful and Green Planet - we need to refresh ourselves with Green Planet - so maybe we'll bump into each other (without ever knowing it). ------------------ "One evening I seated Beauty on my knees. And I found her bitter." "I am a sick man...I am a wicked man. An unattractive man. I think my liver hurts."
My parents used to go to Quan Yin every Sunday night but don't go as frequently anymore because of the distance. Although their vegetarian and I'm not, the food was very good. Their lobster is my favorite, and the lemon chicken is very tasty also. ------------------ Let me tell you this... I don't care.
rimbaud: My wife and I used to go there every Sunday. It is a little far, but the food is really good and the buffet is terrific. I have ordered off the menu. All of the "make believe meat" (as my grandmother-in-law used to say!) is amazing. They used to have a bar-b-que ham dish that was unreal! Also, their holiday ham and turkey is great. You can order it cold and just put it in the oven. It is a very good deal and alot easier than cooking! How is Green Planet? I've never eaten there. What type of veggie food do they serve? Also, have you ever tried Quan Yin? I've heard it is excellent also but it is way out past the Beltway. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
