Where you wearing some sort of uniform? That would back up Jeff's angle. Seems so odd.

    The pics are great. [IMG]

His reply, "I'm going to work another year, but it won't be here!"

So, Hakeem was refering to not working for another year at WHOLE FOODS, he was not implying the Houston Rockets.

Lets not get this topic to overblown.

HEAD IS IN DA HOUSE!!!!! [IMG]

After Dream see's the pictures you took and posted here, I think its safe to say he won't be shopping at Whole Foods anymore [IMG] (and the fact that he's leaving town might enter into the equation as well)

I can see how Dream's response would be his honest assesment of where the situation stands right now. The Rockets are obviuosly lowballing him @ 4.5 mill knowing there are few teams he could sign with for more. So naturally he would say he was gonna play but not for what the Rockets are offering. There is still hardball to be played and I believe a deal will be struck.
No one has talked about how rooted Hakeem is in this community , homes, family, business interest. His Olajuwon Companies Building is over here on the West Belt about 5 blocks from Westside. By playing in Houston he is home for half the season, sleeping in his own bed, seeing his wife and dropping in at the office , buying produce at whole foods. That gets worth more and more as a man gets older.

RockHead, did Hakeem say this casually, did he smile when he said this? Did it seem like he was trying to make a joke? If he was making a joke, it isn't freakin funny!!!! [IMG]

Is anyone really going to offer dream more than their 4.5 mil exception and I think Houston will offer 5-6 mil for 2 years

OK, ok, now we understand the pics.

Come on did you honestly ask Dream if he would be in houston or not? I mean why would he answer the 50 million $ question, that everyone else in Houston wants to know, to you.

No Pun intended, but please tell us the truth.

    Rockhead two more questions-

    1. What time did you take these pics?

    2. When is your shift?

RH, how long has Dream been working at Whole Foods? I think Kroger maybe able to offer him a package for $10.00/hr + 25% discount off groceries. Randall's and Albertson's are also interested. Whole Foods is said to be offering a two year deal at $6.50/hr. Dream wants $10.00/hr.

Hopefully, Dream will finish his sacking career at Whole Foods.

I swear I asked this question! and he answered with a pretty honest face, no laughing, no smile. Then another person came over and said something, I bailed and then I posted to scoop you guys! Trust me, I was nervous and starstruck! I just wanted to know that one thing!

    That's it.

Now, the reply I like the most are the ones
that refer to Dream working AT Whole Foods!!
That just cracks me up and lord, I hope that IS what he meant! I'd hate to see him in a Wizards uni or something!?

Also, notice the woman in pink is in another line in the first photo. She then bolts over to hakeem's line for the autograph in another photo.

Ok...I open this thread, read the first post, and think to myself "give me a break" and start laughing. Read on down a little, and realize that RH may be serious. Then I see the pictures and now I don't know what to think. Only at CC.net would this happen...getting a potential scoop like this from the frickin grocery store.

Anyway, I really hope Dream meant that he's not working at the store, instead of not working in Houston anymore. Sort of a cryptic message by Dream...you've got to explore every option to try and find out what it really means. Great work rH, I am now anticipating your posts similar to those of Doc Rockets. Damn! I can see that Dream has been working out with Charles and JLo over the summer. In the second to last picture, you can see where the two baskets of groceries ends up. Either that, or he's not paying for all his groceries!!!!!!!

DieHard, please don't expect these kinds of posts from me... this is like, a once in a lifetime type thing...

I was just in the right place at the right time... and that's the only question I wanted to ask. It's so easy to sit back and think of things after the fact... like I said earlier, I was nervous and star struck!

I just wanted to scoop you guys on this board so bad that I didn't stick around to ask more questions.. besides, the man was buying freakin' groceries....and I didn't know what else to ask...

Just kidding about the anticipating your posts rH. [IMG]

I remember going up to ask Nolan Ryan for an autograph at a local ballpark where he was watching his son play a few years ago, and could barely open my mouth to ask him to sign a baseball. I understand what it must have felt like talking to Dream, because I was not even a huge Nolan Ryan fan.
