    I know . . . I hope the campaign to extend the show goes better than the one to keep it out of that crappy timeslot . . .

    What a great show... Save that SOB Peter Griffin.

    Anyone know if Futurama bit the bullet? I haven't seen it on in a while.

    I think any new animated series that comes out on network TV will have a hard time, because they'll always be compared to The Simpsons, quite possibly the greatest show ever made...

    Right now is also just not a good market for comedy -- it's all about dramas like ER, the West Wing, the Sopranos, etc. Comedies have taken a hit as of late.

    The Simpsons is definitely one of the best shows ever conceived...I'm not an expert on all of it like many here such as moestavern19, but it's popularity, after what 10 years?!?...is a credit to the quality of the show.

    It's true, any new animated series will be compared to the great one.

    Nothing can compare to The Simpsons in its prime, but I think Family Guy is even if not better than the new Simpsons episodes. Family Guy is funny while the new Simpsons episode leave you with a big WTF afterwards.

    I missed it, but I saw Bernie Mac on Letterman. You could tell Letterman was confused - he didn't know when Bernie Mac was being serious or was telling a joke.

    How come Futurama is still on? Other than a few good episodes, it's been really pretty bad . . . and often times, just plain terrible.
