I agree. Just once in a random game, maybe in August: Altuve 2B Brantley DH Bregman 3B Alvarez LF Abreu 1B Tucker RF Diaz C Pena SS McCormick CF
I gave you 2 of the most important at bats in Stros history. Yuli was clutch in the playoffs, Bagwell was not.

I didn’t mention Bagwell. Someone else did. Chris Burke hit the biggest home run in Astros history at the time. He’s 4 years older than Yuli. Father Time is undefeated.
Amazing how much teammates success come into play when discussing a players playoff excellence. One guy has a career .685 OPS and is viewed by the world as a postseason choker and the other has a .711 OPS and is a clutch prime time performer.
I agree. Just once in a random game, maybe in August: Altuve 2B Brantley DH Bregman 3B Alvarez LF Abreu 1B Tucker RF Diaz C Pena SS McCormick CF Correction. Yuli was clutch in 2 plate appearances of 6 different post seasons. And I agree Bagwell was not.
Such a luck component to baseball. Bagwell 14 playoff games in his prime. Derek Jeter, super clutch player, on one of the greatest team's ever in 1998 put up numbers that look like Bagwell's prime numbers. It happens. Biggest AB of his career at the time: And clutch Lance Berkman strikes out.
Agreed, he was still good in the playoffs last year. Hard to believe he's two years removed from a batting title.
