What THE ****. Not even a meeting when we are one of like 6 whole teams in the NBA in need of a PG? If Dallas can sell him on 37 year old Dirk, why can't we at least try to sell him on our 27 year old super star?
Dirk is not a ball dominant superstar like Harden is. Dirk is still a PG's dream mate running the PnR or PnP.
The media regurgitating that James can't play with a ball-dominant point guard doesn't help. I don't know what they consider Westbrook to be, if that's the case.
I blame Daryl Morey. You guys talk about how brilliant he is. But in all actuality he's created a negative perception of this organization and him going back & forth with Charles Barkley sealed the deal. The Rockets will need to fire Morey to get rid of the bad image the league has of us
I look at these confirmations as a positive. For all these guys, there's like a 5% chance they sign with the Rockets. Better to have a real good feel now then get strung along.
I respek that he's not falling into the wine and dine, wow me trappings. He knows he wants that fifth year and has eliminated everyone but his option b.
Harden played sidekick to Westbrook and Durant in OKC. He is not a sidekick anymore. He basically doesn't even try to play offball anymore. In OKC, he would at least slash to the rim at times and play D. Harden is capable of so damn much, he just chooses not to do certain things for various reasons known only to him.
Just curious which pg has harden played with has deserved to handle the ball/play making more than harden?
Morey is scared of adding a real PG and will continue the whole idea that Beverley is perfect next to Harden..Based on last year, I don't see how any PG would want to come here either. Harden off the ball not going to happen and D'Antoni wants him to be the PG so no reason to waste your years in Houston. Might as well just look for a SG next to Harden.
While I would say the answer is "None since WB", Harden still needs to rest and I still stand-by my assertion if he was actually active off-ball, the Lin pairing and Lawson pairing would have been a lot better. My point though, is that Harden seems to want to do everything offensively when he is out there.
