I'd be fine with him too, but again, he can't be had for the minimum, he just got paid pretty good money in europe and he will stay in europe if all he's offered is the minimum in the nba.

Now that we have Ariza, we can trade Battier for him and fillers.

I already wrote why i'd make room for Budinger over Sasha, he's a similar player to him, younger, more upside, and less likely to complain. That's why you pay him instead of Pavlovic. It's not like i'm trying to pass on a superstar in hopes that a second rounder will become one. It's Sasha freaking pavlovic, not Larry Bird, i'm sure out of two first round talents like budinger and taylor, one of them can match Sasha's play at least.....I wouldnt include Barry in your list since he's not in our long term plans and he's no longer similar to any of those other guys.

You're logic for calling me COMPLETELY INSANE is games played??? Seriously?

I'm sure others were also rated ahead of Carl "probably won't play NBA" Landry and Aaron "won't play in NBA" Brooks....

Ok how about the 3 big guys on our summer league roster....I'm pretty sure one of them can be a high energy Andersen, Varejao type player. All three of them are good rebounders and defenders and are built like Camby.

pavlovic had 40+ point games in the european league which is higher competition than college games.. I really think he has ever played to his potential considering shannon brown shot 37.35% FG and 30% 3p% for the cavs in his 2 years with them, but when he started getting playing time with a great coach like phil jackson he averaged 43.4% FG and 48% 3pt 4.9ppg in the playoffs in under 14 minutes per game.

it's clear if pavlovic was coached better he could become a lot better than he is right now, and he's rather pretty decent as of right now. 1 year deal for the minimum, chance to develop him, cap room for next year, why not?

I dont even think he'd accept a one year at the minimum, that's part of his problem, he's somewhat overconfident, i can't see him thinking he's only worth that much, he'd get more money in europe.

Moot point - unless Sasha is willing to take the minimum we can't sign him per the collective bargaining agreement because we are now over the cap limit with the signing of Ariza. The only other FA acquisitions we can make this year will be to resign our own FAs/draft picks since you can still sign your own players even if you are over the cap....but obviously Houston won't be giving those guys a lot of money or years(the draft picks/maybe Wafer). This was our big splash this summer. Everything else will have to come via trade.

he is willing to take the minimum cause there aren't gonna be any teams that have the cap room to sign him for more, HENCE why this thread is even made.
