As always, these guys make too much. Capela + Anderson makes us better than DJ. And unlike Gasol, Capela might actually be just as good as DJ himself.

uhhh you're a little late. the days of throwing money around happened with the huge cap jump. so answer the question what teams are going to throw CC $100 mil. instead of trying to sound smart and sarcastic

DJ isn't better. oh he does things like intimidate and change shots? hows that working out. a bunch of bs.

you're a bit off on morey and the CC situation. hes a RFA who still has much to prove. why in the world would he try to get a deal done prematurely

Clint's starting to make some FTs. That, by itself, makes him better than DJ. And Clint's going to improve each year for at least a decade.

Yes I did....Dwight's one on one defense is stellar. He's an emotional lesbian, but I will never clown him for his defense. You can keep studying steet sheets that don't tell the who story.....i trust my eyes

Ryno is playing perfectly fine. He's even hitting his shots at TC.
Not sure making any changes are worth the risk right now.
Let's see how we're doing in late January.

Clint's numbers this year are insane. This is like trading a 2012 James Harden for 2012 Joe Johnson. We've groomed Clint for his role, he'll be the starting center for the Western All-Stars this year, his advanced stats put him in the League Top 10, and we've got his bird rights. We'll match whatever they throw at Clint this summer before the ink is dry. i think DJ will play in Houston someday in a Tyson Chandler role, but it damn sure won't be for $20+ mil/year

Morey is too smart to do this deal. I'm sure if we had Doc Rivers acting as GM he would trade Clint for DeAndre in a heartbeat.

They style of Center that Clint and DJ are aren't going to be getting big contracts going forward. If a C cant shoot 3's they're not getting a max anymore.

If Deandre was getting paid what Clint was i would do it... i wouldn't give up Ryan Anderson right now either because we need a 4 if he's gone.

It's crazy to me to think that when I read this headline, my first thought is "I wonder if we could get him.... for coming off the bench?"

Why is that crazy? It shows how GOOD Capela has gotten, that I am wondering about getting DJ for coming off the bench.

Can you imagine it thought? Imagine if we had 48 minutes of elite ballhandling/playmaking from alternating with Chris Paul and James Harden while at the same time having 48 minutes of elite pick, roll, lob, dunk with Capela and Jordan. We would pick and roll and alley oop teams to death.

Too bad there would be no way to make the money work without giving up major parts of our rotation- which just would not at all be worth it.

maybe you need to check offseason signings the couple years....better yet just last year. Players are all getting paid.....Ryno is making 20 a year.....I'm not petty enough to do research to entertain you. I swear, grown men can't how conversations or difference is options without getting catty or emotional? Name calling? .....just have civil discussions without taking it personal.
So you don't think DJ is better??? Guess what? That's ok, it doesn't mean you're right and sure as hell don't mean I'm right either because it's our options. I rather have DJ and pay him 20 mil than to pay/ match Clint $20.......do you need a wet wipe for that? Calm down

Acquiring DJ may put us over luxury tax line, which needs to avoided this year unless we can get real super stars. Otherwise, we will face super luxury tax in the next few years like the Warriors and Cavs, which will essentially break up the super teams. I don't think DJ is worthy of this, and he is in his contract year, we probably need to pay him 30M or more to keep him.

Besides, I don't think he is better than Clint anyways, definitely a downgrade if we have to trade Clint and other rotation players(Ryno or Ariza + Gordon) in order to balance the salary.

If we were GIFTED Jordan, then yeah, I'd think we could beat GSW, assuming Paul & EGO are healthy.

maybe you need to understand the concept of the cap rise. you obviously don't. you won't do the research because you have no idea what you're talking about here. oh ryan anderson signed the contract last year ok. yeah you do need to research.

what bigs got huge contracts that you believe happened ("better yet just last year"). please tell us

If it was for buyout + vet min, even then I'm not sure it would work because bottom line the Rockets are a worse team with every minute he steals from Capela. (This might not be strictly true in Year 1, but at best his impact is neutral and going forward Clint is the future.)

As the third-highest paid player on the team? Hell no.
