Wait - what's opposite about those two things? Why can't one be an attention seeker who can't handle pressure? She seems to only be able to handle positive coverage.
I would suggest there are lots of people like that - for example, most Hollywood celebs that adore and seek out press coverage until it's negative, and then whine about paparazzi. Or A-Rod as an example in the sports world.
all of the press since the bad interview has been negative, this is not an A-Rod or R. Clemens situation.
the other hilarious thing about this is her blaming the media for her not being able to do her job and her supporters backing that claim. when she is supposed to represent conservative views its no one elses fault she quit, stop trying to shift the discussion because there is no defense for it. i know that's your usual debate strategy, now i see why people claim you and fmullegun are the same person
I think it is pretty obvious she was a pawn, in over her head who was used then thrown out by the McCain camp when she didn't come through. Then she was attacked by the party in power because she is the only target besides Rush they had due to the lack of leadership and they came down extremely hard. Just admit you guys were wrong about her being some attention seeking Jon and Kate plus 8 wannabe. I am not a Palin supporter I just find the shift incredible.
Fascinating that this, of all topics, stirs a multi-sentence post from basso. My guess... she's about to be indicted and someone went to her and said if you resign, we'll hold off on some of the charges. You could tell she was mad during that presser and it seemed to come through in a way that the fake outrage does not. So... who's the closest historical comparison? I can't think of one that even resembles this trainwreck of a public career. I've not aware of anyone this stupid having so much ambition reaching such a national stage. It's fascinating. You work with stupid but incredibly ambitious people all the time, and they always think they are somehow more special than anyone else, but usually folks figure it out before they get put in a position of any real authority. Only in Alaska and the GOP I guess.
what two week period, from letterman to now, I'm speaking from the nomination till now. her family was a story from day one remember, when she wanted to force marraige on her daughter's baby daddy for her political gain
Oh well that is the problem. My whole statement is that people have gone from saying during the letterman fiasco how she didn't really give a crap about the comments she just wanted more attention, to how she cannot handle the pressure. I think it is pretty obvious now that she could never handle the pressure and when she said she was upset about Letterman, she was probably telling the truth.
and that's fine, but doesn't explain quitting as governor, she should have just said she isn't a national candidate
do you seriously think that would have called off the dogs? The GOP loves her to deflect attention for them. They know she is not a serious 2012 canidate, she is a meatshield for them.
that might have been true pre-palin, but it is pretty obvious the media knows how to find it now. Did you see the SNL skit about NYT reporters going there? Freaking hilarious
