can i deride you as an idiot for recycling months old speculation and innuendo as "news?" se may have gone rogue, she may have gone gault, but in either case it's clear she's got a wicked crossover, and like a good point guard, she's gone where you least expected. and i think it will become clear in the weeks and months ahead that she's sees the court better than any of the experts, whether in the democratic or republican parties, or the chimps in the D&D. those chimps will laugh and make fun of a downs baby, but it's obvious now to sarah, and to a few other prescient folks, that Obama is done. Sure, he'll be around for a few more years, but the hopenchange has been exposed for what it always was, a potemkin mantra, erected to seduce the gullible, self-hating white liberal core (i write this from the whitest, most liberal, most self-absorbed, city in the US), w/o which D!Ohbama could never have been elected. Obama's ambitious agenda to remake the US on the model of Batman's fav country, has come crashing into the grim reality of how to pay for it all- die hond zal niet jagen. we now have an executive, congress, and media all controlled by the same party (thank god for roberts, thomas, and scalito)- no matter your politics, you can't think that's a healthy prospect for any political system save a fascist, totalitarian state. palin recognizes both the new political dynamic, the economic reality, and the media paradigm- she's taken the initial step tpo protect herself and her family- we can all hope she's got us in her plans as well.
basso will you stop crying about the non-existent downs baby bashing that you keep trying to act like has happened around here. You are decrying the will of the people as being only healthy for a fascist totalitarian state? I find it funny that you are claiming Obama is done. Though it only makes sense, since you are wrong so much of the time with all of your other proclamations. You can say what you want about Obama's hope and change, but he's succeeded in a lot of that change he promised already. He has been far from perfect, but he has brought about a lot of great change in the few months he's been in power. Happy 4th.
I have to admit, watching the slow devolution of basso from angry conservative partisan to delusional, bitter psycho living in an alternate reality has been fascinating to watch. It appears that the transformation is now complete.
I sincerely hope that the story is wrong and she stays around. She speaks in nothing but platitudes, lacks any sort of substance, and has a penchant for pathologically lying about things which are easy to track as false and call her out on. She is the dream Republican for the Democrats. She's like the Republican version of "Al Sharpton for President". I genuinely have absolutely no concern or fear that she will ever be elected President. She isn't something I fear. She is a curiosity that I look at, feel something between embarrassment and amusement, and wonder what it is exactly you neocons and theocons think you see in her. I am being 100% honest when I say, she doesn't even rate high enough for me to loathe and despise like someone like Darth Cheney. Maybe if she miraculously managed to get the job and started bumbling and fumbling like dubbya it might arrouse my ire. But at this point, nothing. As far as the entire government being of the same party, well all you have to do to change that is give the people something they want to vote for, instead of ranting and raving about the Democrat Socialist Party, birth certificates, and al Qaeda in the Whitehouse. There is nothing preventing the Republicans from sharing power but the Republicans themselves. And while we're at it, I personally take pride in the fact that I got you to respond. A couple of weeks ago I put you on 'ignore' because your posts have become as prepackaged, predictable, and uninteresting as the robo-spam that my Exchange server rejects on a daily basis. If you keep it up even a minimal sort of engagement, I may take you off the list.

There are idiots on every side of the political spectrum. Palin has enough going against her that this whole thing is irrelevant anyways...but eh. As an aside, I won't even begin to assume what extreme right-wing intellectuals are thinking about. Seriously speaking, Basso is like 1 of the top 5 people on this board I'd like to meet in person. He's such an enigma because his posts are either some random article he googled or some fake Socratic questioning. Either way deep down, there's a more substantiated opinion on a variety of topics and one way or another it'd be cool to see that for a change instead of what we see normally.
