One lonely Beastie I be All by myself - without nobody The sun is beating down on my baseball hat The air is gettin' hot - the beer is getting flat Lookin' for a girl - I ran into a guy His name is M.C.A., I said, "Howdy" - he said, "Hi"
You seem to be misquoting Thatcher's presumed tone here; but I agree that Palin just sounds like a little kid, thinking a former world leader has any interest in all in being used as a prop for a quitting publicity hound from a another country.
So you believe that Paul Revere went on his famous ride to warn the British they weren't going to be taking the colonists guns? This is a simple yes or no question. Please answer.
You're focusing on the wrong part. Ok, some freaking bells were ringing. That doesn't change the fact that she said Revere went riding around yelling at the British soldiers that the colonists were going to keep their guns. That's not at all what happened.
I'll ask you the same question that everyone who defends Palin in this thread has refused to answer. Do you believe that the Paul Revere went on his ride to warn the British that they weren't going to be taking the colonists guns? It's a simple yes or no.
Are you going to answer the question about the reason of Paul Revere's ride, and what he warned the British about? Will any of the Palin defenders on this issue answer the question?
You claimed that she wasn't wrong. I just wanted to see if you or any of the others claiming she wasn't wrong believed that Paul REvere went on his famous ride to warn the British that they weren't going to be taking the colonists guns. That's what Palin said. The fact that after being captured by the British he did warn them about something different, and that some bells went off, and shots were fired doesn't change her claim of what happened and the purpose of Revere's ride. So I'm curious as to whether the reason people are saying that Palin wasn't wrong won't answer the question about whether or not they agree with what Palin said. If I misread something you posted or implied with your posts I apologize.
When you geniuses get through debating the merits of Ms Palin's off-the-cuff "discussion" of Paul Revere, maybe you can put the true or false test to the following. Let us know what you think of my rough draft analysis. "I personally believe, that U.S. Americans, are unable to do so, because uh, some-uh, people out there, in our nation don’t have maps." (fact check: true. some people in the US do not have maps. Furthermore, she may in fact believe this to be the reason why people cannot locate our country on a map. In terms of word usage, those wanting to support Ms. South Carolina can point out that 'U.S. Americans' distinguishes those citizens living in the 50 states from those living overseas.) "and uh… I believe that our education like such as in South Africa, and the Iraq, everywhere like such as… and, I believe they should uh, our education over here, in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us." (fact check: confusing but not false. And educating people globally is arguably a good idea for the future of the world, if you scan that literally.) Let the debate begin! <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/lj3iNxZ8Dww" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Or maybe the point is just seeing an inarticulate person who does not think well on their feet. Could that be it?
