The first 2 were just misspeak.......Obama's was from a long campaign trail...he meant 47.

Palin....is not misspeak....she Believes it...lol. And will not admit that she is wrong. A person that can admit they are wrong......is a narcissist.

Her answer to this is so ridiculous. Its sad people buy it. She goes on and says in a sarcastic tone she didn't go to the exclusive elitist institutions. She forgets to mention although they take legacies(like bush), for the most part they are meritocratic in admission. If you are the best and out perform your peers, you will get a chance regardless of your money. Obama was not rich, not privledged, and he went onto Columbia and Harvard bc he stood out, out worked, and out performed people. I know so many people at Columbia who are in a similar situation where they come from hardship and just preserve. Its annoying to hear her try to get people to believe its something handed down just to cover up the fact that she was mediocre in every task she has ever done. She is a great talked in terms of creating attention, but not substance and not a great performer. She should be a news anchor or spokesperson at her highest potential. Even that is streching it since she seems to be missing something up there, more than anything she is so cunning, sneaking, and deceptive that its alarming about the following that she has

A little of topic (ok a lot). the same is true for Charles Darwin, why does everybody know him and hardly anyone knows about Wallace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Russel_Wallace)

    1. All 3 are errors by politicians.
    2. All 3 errors are of the same degree and nature.
    3. Therefore, all 3 are equally egregious.

I think that's like, deductive or inductive reasoning. And the error is in #2. Bush' and Obama's can be attributed to the proverbial "slip of the tongue." Palin's was not even close to being a slip- this included several errors. Now, when Palin mistook North Korea for South Korea- I could buy that- wasn't a big deal. But this? Lame.

What's embarrassing is any attempt to compare President Obama to Sarah Palin. Maybe, if both were still elected officials, there would be something. But Mrs. Palin is no longer an elected official. She's not even a Presidential candidate, by her own admission. She's all about making a big show. She was better off with her reality TV show- oh, wait, that got canceled.

Obama is like the novel, and Palin is like the Cliffs Notes. I guess some people would argue that the Cliffs Notes are all they need. Good for them.

Really, anyone who claims to believe that Sarah Palin would make a good president/vice-president is just trolling at this point.

For as many pages as threads like this stretch on and on, there's really nothing to discuss. The 24-hour news cycle loves her because that means they have an hour or so that they don't have to actually work to find content. But, just because the news networks slap her face up on the screen every day doesn't mean that there's anything of substance to discuss about her.

And the people who actually "support" Palin as a presidential candidate? Well, let's just say you can't reason someone out of something that they weren't reasoned in to.

I'm done commenting in Sarah Palin threads. There's just nothing to debate.

I agree there is nothing substantial when talking about Palin. She is just pure entertainment. The fact that she takes herself seriously is the funniest and most entertaining of all.

Watching people pretend she knows what she's talking about is a different kind of entertainment, and people are setting themselves up to look like fools. But that's worth engaging discussion to see as well for some folks.

I understand the idea of ignoring her, but it is funny to watch her go, and then watch people show how little they know or care about govt. when they support her.

Just look at her one interview with Katie Couric. She couldn't name one policy of McCain's that made him a maverick. She couldn't name one newspaper she read, she claimed she was a federalist in as much as states should have more say in the law of their lands.

That was all from one interview. Someone that clueless who still has people following her is always going to garner attention.

    Is it important? No

Is it relevant to any current issues? No

    She's just entertainment.

if obama was palin, he'd have quit last year cause everyone's just so mean to her. :(

i'm pretty sure palin could say there were 16 hours in a day, be called out on it, come up with some dumb**** excuse as to why she said that and basso and the rest of the morans that worship her would then believe there were only 16 hours in a day. it's the blind leading the ****ing stupid.

Correction: they wouldn't really believe it, but would rationalize, twist, and re-interpret any information suggesting she is correct, regardless.

Vicar tells all: Sarah Palin's history flub, and how it happened
I found this to be an interesting read, with the backstory to the kerfuffle. I bolded the part that made me laugh. (And I am only assuming this is a legit version of the story; I enjoyed it eitherway.)
