No but my wife has owned many horses over the last 25 years. As a matter of fact, her last horse was a retired racing thoroughbred. Horses are bloody ****ing expensive to own. Their vet bills are killer. And they are always need the vet to come out. If the horse eats something that gives them an upset stomach, the vet needs to come out or they ****ing die.
I know, I have owned an arabian who was bred for racing Had somewhat of a celebrity maternal lineage but not the traits one would pay top dollar for, more of a showpony The soil is causing constant injuries leading to euthanization, yet the show still goes on I won't stand for ignorance or pretending like this has happened , in such close proximity, on the exact same track, before
It hasn't been this wet of a winter in years. It used to be close but not this wet years ago. Then it was in drought and only a few spells of wet weather. This year was particularly wet. I know the track tried to check to see if that could have something to do with it. I didn't hear any details about what they found, other than that they couldn't say that it was a contributing factor. It is very sad. The track is beautiful and the horses there have great conditions. But the increase in deaths is out of control. Something has to be done.
So these are the first 23 horses the sport has ever put down due to on track injuries? I must have been lied to previously.
His mudder was a mudder Remember when that Seinfeld quote would have been posted in the first few responses. Ive been on this site so long its not a thing to hit a thread with the relevant Seinfeld quote anymore Things that make me feel old
Not really but climate change is certainly responsible for some of your dumb threads in the debate forum.
My first response was obtuse. Horse racing is very hard on horses. Not a few race horses get pushed to their limits and have to retire early from racing with lifetime disabilities. Like I mentioned in this thread, my wife bought a retired race horse (for dressage). This horse was relatively healthy, mainly due to the fact that he sucked at winning races and got retired quickly.
Within a span of 10 weeks, yes. Don't try too hard to be confrontational, your energy is better spent reading the facts.
