    I wouldn't steer you wrong.

I'd get the meatloaf sandwich next time, if you aren't worried about your heart exploding. And get the onions on the side.

Since you and Sadat frequent Central market, have y'all tried their Shrimp on Brioche? THAT's a winner too.

Yaga's in Galveston has a Cuban Pulled Pork and Ham sandwich which is awesome.

Not a bad call on Specs. They have a handful of decent sandwiches. Underrated sandwich place. But they love to jam you up with sprouts.

Asked for the Felicia and the hairy guy behind the counter told me to leave my cell phone in my car and meet him in some secluded corridor behind the wine/beer section in 15 minutes.

**** that. Don't mess with the "felicia".

It's been over ten years, but the best sandwiches I've ever had was from Dagwoods in Bloomington, Indiana. Right off campus. Pricey but worth it IMHO. Their 'secret sauce' is hard to replicate.

No mention of Firehouse. I'm ashamed of you all.

Second time I've referenced this place in the last week...but Locatelli's has a French dip called the Telli Dip that is unreal good. Easily in my top 5.

I remember the Black Lab had a solid one, but it's been years.

Not really helpful to anyone, but Miller's Market in Llano has the most stupid good jalapeno/cheese buns on earth. You could put just about anything on one and have a quality sammich.

I ate a sandwich at the Black Lab once. Don't remember what it was though. Now they have an Eatsi Boys (**** those guys) next door, with slightly better sandwiches I imagine.

Greatest sandwich ever: white bread, fresh roast beef, Dijon mustard, a touch of mayo, lettuce, tomato, sliced sweet pickles with a side of Zapp's Voodoo chips. It should be homemade by your lady while you are watching a Rockets or Texans game on the couch. I would take that over any of these sandwiches.

The REAL question is: would this be shredded lettuce or leaf?

Swap out the white bread, mustard and pickles for a fresh baguette, horseradish and red onion and then you've got something worthwhile.

Leaf, shredded just falls right out. Remember you are watching a Rockets game so this sandwich needs to hold up when Lin turns it over on a fast break.

Your lady must not make you any sandwiches. I feel sorry for you.

My 2nd favorite is after Thanksgiving with leftover turkey meat on white bread with lettuce, tomato, mayo, salt, and pepper. I like simple sandwiches but since we are listing purchased sandwiches my favorite would be a Reuben from Katz's.

pappa geno's #1, mushroom burger sub veggie patty at cheesecake factory, california club sub provolone (this one's gone downhill since they replaced the sprouts with spring mix) at jason's, bahn mi at pho binh, and finally, the classic hangover cure, the monte cristo from benningan's.
