I think we've had threads like this before but, hey, we need a new one. What are your top 5 sandwiches in Houston? 1. California connection at Central Market (don't know if they still have it anymore) 2. BBQ pork Vietnamese sandwich at Nguyen Ngo 3. Lobster roll at Maine-ly Sandwiches 4. Reuben at Kenny and Ziggy's 5. Everything else.
Hobo's makes one of the best sandwiches I've found in Houston, but there's only one location and it's by my work. The pulled pork at Les Givrals is good and I also dig the ZOËS Club Pita at ZOËS Kitchen.
Italian Muffuletta from Collinas Deli Club from Jasons Deli Gyro from Murphys Deli Turkey Sandwich from Neilsons Chicken Salad sandwich from my momma
Also, trust me on this. If you go to Central Market, request "The Felicia" at the sandwich counter. By far, one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. They love making them and usually give you props for ordering it since it isnt on the menu.
Yes! I love these. Ziggy, if we ever meet, it should be over a Papa Geno's. That place is the bomb. My favorite sammich of all-time is Darrell's in Lake Charles. The shrimp po-boy is amazing. Go with a friend and split that and the Darrell, then rep me later.
Not 100% sure, but this is what I recall: Chicken Pesto Jalepenos Caramelized onion Sun-dried tomato Melted cheese (swiss I think) Might be leaving something out. But the bread they use is awesome too. Its a hot, toasted sandwich. Best thing Ive ever tasted.
How'd you hear about it? I feel like if you ask for it the person making minimum wage on the other end of the counter is going to tell you to **** off. I don't think they know how to make it. You're thinking of the Velencia at Starbucks.
