    HEY DREW!

    Brad Radke, P
    Injury: May 31. Groin.
STATUS: DL SKINNY: Radke re-injured his groin, and this time it popped. The Twins placed him back on the disabled list and recalled left-hander Johan Santana. Santana was 5-2 with a 3.14 ERA in 11 appearances -- nine of them starts -- for Triple-A Edmonton. He spent the last two seasons with the Twins, going 3-3 with a 5.90 ERA in 129 2-3 innings.

I may be in a slump right now, but I'm not stupid enough to not follow the DL list, just in case someone offers me a stupid trade offer, like Nomo for Radke.

Anybody remember we still have a thread?????

I just wanted to let everyone know about how my pitching staff took a huge collective crap on the mound this weekend. Check out these scores:

Elmer Desssens- 12 (Yes, ol Elmer was my high scorer!)
    Roger Clemens- 5
    John Burkett- 4
    Rick Reed-3
    Robb Nen-2
    Jamie Moyer- -3
    Troy Percival- DNP

    Bench:

    Hideo Nomo- 10
    Aaron Harang- -3
    Chan Ho Park- DNP
    Rodrigo Lopez- DNP

What a disgusting display. And the worse part is that I was playing Ren, who is not exactly on top of the game. He only left one starter, Derek Lowe, in his lineup, and he scored 32. I only lost by 27. One decent game from a starter and one save and I would have won.    :(

It looks like my staff is back. Wins from everyone but Wells. Alou is coming around too, but how sucky has he been? Edgar is due back. Griffey just bites.

This is the toughest league ever. Everybody is in it from top to bottom. My pitching staff is eating up starts trying to stay alive. I feel obligated to get 4/5 starters in there each week or face losing. A lot of people scored over 170 on just 3 day weekend. This is ridiculous.

Dang... I have five pitchers going against SF3's two.

I was planning on benching two of them so I could save some SP games for the future, but I couldn't decide which two to sit, and I ended up forgetting about it until after the deadline.

Anyway, to make a long story short, you are going to get slaughtered this week, SF3!

Plus, Manny comes back next week!!!! He'll provide a much needed shot in the arm to my offense.

Manny + Sosa + Damon + Bernie = Best Outfield in the League

My reaction is, I didn't even think Cat was participating in this league anymore( judging by his giving up Guardado, he has given up).

-Cat has used 132 of the 162 games allowed at catcher.
-108 of 140 games allowed for relief pitchers
-Still had Shane Reynolds in his starting lineup, up until this week's game.

    Will he trade ARod next?

I had to give up Clemens to get him.

But I did have to remind him to check his team. I hope he isn't too mad when he realizes Clemens has been in a steady decline for a month, with an era over 4.

And yet, I'm only one game ahead of him.

It appears, in hindsight, I put too much stock in youth.

I don't do trades without thoroughly checking statistics. I know Clemens' ERA... but I also know he will get wins with the Yankee lineup, and he usually improves as the season goes along. I also have two injured pitchers, three before last night...

I'm not going to give up players for the sake of my season being done. That's not why I did the trade with Guardado, and I don't do that in any deals. I don't believe in that. I did the deal because I honestly think it makes my team better. That being said, in the weeks prior to the draft, I let that take up most of my time online, and that inactivity was my own fault. I know I don't have much of a chance this year, but I will still try and win every game that I can, and not auction off my stars.
