San Francisco turned ghost town?: Dave Chappelle ‘what the f happened to this place ?!’

was in Napa in the fall; first time since the pandemic and the fires.

ate dinner at Skates in the Berkeley Marina...and Mai Tais at Trader Vics.

 

I have friends that live near the Mission that I visit every few years. I avoid downtown - it's been a mess of homeless people and junkies since the first time I was there in 1992.

 

My take away is this was in the planning to be built for quite a while, and then the tech people left then they brought in the place where are they could monitor harmful drug use within a stones throw from the entrance...add progressive policies that are harmful to safety and business in general- the funny thing is the time period from the "coming soon" signs , the planning and logistics likely took a longer amount of time than the time period from day, one of the store until closing of the store- that's just sad

So turned out the homeless drugged up person this article was trying to hint at as the perpetrator of this crime was a white entrepreneur who was giving a ride to Bob Lee - they had an argument and then he was stabbed. Not by a homeless person. Not by drug deals. Not by some random act of violence.

Just goes to show how much bias there is against certain groups of people. Point fingers first, make a fuss, but when the truth comes out - make no apologies and quietly move on to another example.

If you haven't noticed, Elon Musk has been politicizing things a great deal of late, and when he wades into how he does his job with bad information, he has a right to respond to it just as anyone would, especially given Musk's influence and ability to slander/libel someone with real damages.

I thought the guy was white from a quick glance at his photo, but you're right, I shouldn't have said that. My point was that a lot of people were making assumptions about who he is, and I made the same mistake too.

And yes, some of the people's comments on twitter are just sick.

 

I guess you were even correct, technically speaking. I think Iranians are considered "white" in the US. I never even know what to put in these race questionnaires lol.
