Great series that ended on an exciting play at the plate. Conine throws out Jose Cruz Jr. at the plate. Pudge with a great block of the plate and held onto the ball after the collision

The Florida Marlins advance to the NL Championship Series.

Further proof that managers do make a difference.

J.T. Snow was the one thrown out at the plate.

Felipe Alou made many mistakes during the last 2 games of this series.

Yesterday/Last night, he used up all his position players, leaving him with no pinch hit options after the 9th inning.

Today he should have had a pinch runner in for Cruz. That was the tying run with 2 outs in the 9th inning.

Hats off to Jack McKeon. 72 years young a masterful job of taking a terrible Marlins team and turning them around after he took over in May.

The Marlins were drowning, six games under .500 when McKeon arrived.

My bad. Thanks for the correction Mooch.

Alou should have had a pinch runner in for J.T.

Marlins on a role - look like they are that team of destiny for this season just like the Angels were last year.

I told my brother it would be the Marlins and the Cubs in the NL Championship. I can see the Marlins in the big 'Series for a second time.
