San Diego or Colorado

    AFAIK ski/snow season won't be until early December at the earliest for Colorado. With that in mind, I'd pick San Diego just for the weather alone.

    SD. too early for snow activities in CO.. it'll just be cold

    Seriously, it's TOO DAMN EARLY to ski in November. Unless he enjoys really cold hiking, the obvious answer here is San Diego.

    Whitewater rafting in frigidly cold water is a miserable experience.
