yes you do. you just said it. he was reporting in front of his burning house to get higher ratings and a compelling story. where's the disagreement here?
rocketmanjosh was taking issue with me, saying it's not for ratings, and kindly telling to me shut the **** up. i don't care that the reporter does it. i just think it's dumb. just like the hurricane reporters.
I think the point was he thought it was crazy that they had a reporter out there standing around in the fires reporting on it in front of his own burning house no less. then everybody got all sensitive sally on him
so its just the typical "why do they do that?" thing that someone always brings up during a natural disaster suits me but like i said, if you're not used to it by now.. lord help you
I thought it was funny how he thought it was CNN who did it. Of course, CNN and Fox and whover showing the clip is definately trying to get ratings, but isn't that the point? Show interesting stories, get ratings, sell ad time.
This is an interesting photo... Note the trees in the front yards are still mostly green. Lawn plants get water and aren't as susceptible to fire as natural vegetation. It also shows that no flame front came through this neighborhood... it looks like embers caught a house or two on each side of the street and the radiant heat spread the fire to the adjoining houses. If the lots weren't so small and the houses so close together, my guess is you'd lose 2-3 instead of the 10 or so in the photo. In the top left corner, you can see hose left in the gutter...
President Bush is a dumb ass During a speech, I saw on TV right now, he said we can't control the winds. And that the winds are strong westerly winds.
No the issue with you was saying that a guy that was doing his job and had just lost his house was a moron for doing what he was doing when I guarantee you would have done the same thing.
you made it sound like i said he burned his own house down just for a story. he may not be a moron, but it's a moronic thing to do so i guess you can lay the blame on CNN or whatever news station told him to do it.
