Lets see... would i rather play an OKC team with two superstars, an elite wing defender, and a lethal shot blocker. Or a San-Antonio team with an aging star big man whom omer seems to handle well. A hobbled Manu Ginobli ( who might not even play ) And a star point guard who is the only player on that team that consistently burns us. OR.... a denver team that has a ELITE wing defender that is good at slowing down james harden, a platoon of quality big men, solid young role players mixed in with solid wing players alsong with playing OUR style but BETTER. Yeah...I'll take my chances with San-Antonio over the ass beating we will receive from denver and (god help us) if we play OKC. Plus i enjoy seeing the lakers or the jazz getting the pulp beat out of em, something that OKC will certainly do. And i love a good Kobe playoff meltdown.
Manu being out is a non-factor. He stinks this year but Tony looks like he's hurt and that is just huge. They cannot win without Tony.
Depends on what you define as shut down. Harden averages 20 points on 15 shots, but at 42% shooting. Furthermore, 2 of those games were played when the Rockets were at their low point. So while Harden isn't performing at his season average against Denver, he is still putting on pressure against Denver when he is on the court.
Gallo ACL tear, sucks. From the outside Harden probably looks injured too, I'm sure they're just resting Parker.
Parker will be out for the rest of the reg. season with a sore ankle and possible tendinitis in his shin. The team said he should be back in time for the playoffs, and he's been known to bounce back quick from injury.
I don't wanna play Denver. They've got a bunch of good guys and a good coach. Rootign for them. I don't wanna play San Antonio. Just don't. Even without Manu, Parker absolutely kills us. Don't think we can beat them. I want the Clippers. Don't like them. I know they have an Achilles heal in Deandre and their bigs shooting freebies. And I want to beat Chris Paul so he has to think about re-signing long term with that bunch of losers.

Just saying Karl has always owned us minus one year. Karl could have D-leaguers and put up a fight. Nuggs lost melo and are better do not want to play anymore.
Not the Nuggets anymore. Gallo is such an underrated player and Lawson will probably have problems with his foot, at least till the end of the year.
If we're just looking at box score stats, also look at the turnover average, his 3 pt% and assist average - all those are skewed in the wrong direction. Along with shooting percentage these are the stats that show the Iguodala influence. The man just knows how to guard Harden. James's ortg is not particularly good against Iguodala either, while Iguodala's ortg vs James is better than he averages. It's just an opinion that we need James to be his best in isolation plays but Iguodala is particularly good at guarding these scenarios and moreso with James in those scenarios.
The key to any of these games is not whether Harden plays well or not, but whether the team plays their winning basketball style....no hero ball stuff. I'm a bit worried that Harden/McFail may panic and go full iso....
Gallo is massively underrated on this board. On the other hand, Manimal is a young player w/ potential but he is overrated here. Gallo will be sorely missed by Nuggets and Karl.
I'm actually very optimistic now. If we get SAS in the first round (remaining at 7 while they drop to 2), it's possible they won't have Parker, or at least he'll be very rusty/banged up, and from what we've seen this season, their offense struggles mightily without him. Their bench has also been on a collapse recently, stinking it up in pretty much every game. And then if Denver remains at 3 and pulls it out against GSW, as I suspect they will, we could definitely have a shot at beating them as well without Gallo. TLDR there is an outside chance, however small, of making it to the WCFs, though the most likely scenario is still a first round loss.
Don't you guys remember the last nuggets games? It was ALL Galo and some Lawson that shut us down and gave them the edge. People have been exagerating them for a while but we CAN take them now. We need to do w.e it is to get that 6th spot. GS is just 1 game ahead of us and we hold the tie breaker.
Tony Parker dropped out of the game last night vs the Thunder. The story on ESPN Insider says the Spurs staff are really concerned with this injury. This could be a huge factor. I say if Parker is out for the playoffs we definitely want the Spurs over OKC

I don't want Denver. Playing in Denver will kill our team. We need Omer for the post season & if we get Denver, in the games where we are playing at there altitude Omer will struggle.
