Dalembert is about the same as what we had with Mutumbo at age 60 or whatever he was when he retired -- a fairly strong defensive presence and a good rebounder. He'll at least make people think twice before heading straight for the rim.
Finally a real intimidator, shot blocking and rebounding abled center!! The first since Mutombo retired since Yao does not count, he only played 6 games since 2009. You did it Morey Hope he didn't up the bidding though
Maybe, maybe no. His rebounding and blocked shot numbers are very good. Never below double figure rebounds per 36 in his career, never under 2.2 blks. He'll make the team worse offensively though than Chuck. I'm still hoping they bring Chuck back though. That would be something.
It was just a matter of time before we got Samuel. This however no way means we are ridding of Hill, but Thabeet? maybe. It was obvious that Sam wanted to come here for whatever reason, and I am glad he did. Love his game, and I love this deal, just love it. Way to go Rox.
Good job front office...we got the 8/8 center no one else wanted and it only cost us a mid/low 1st 2012 pick.
Hooray Mediocrity......and this is the guy that we would not take on a couple of years ago, for Iggy. Hooray......NOT ! DD
It depends on how much was he signed for and when does his trade restriction expire? Oh well, I was hoping to post this in the future, "The heart of a champion, listen to Thabeet".
8, 8 and 1.5 blocks in 29 mins last year. A 2 year deal in his prime. I'm content. Were gonna be better than the eight seed. Just wait and see.
The Sixers still need a big man. If they decide to get fully behind Thad Young then Dalembert could be a chip to use there.
