I think it is the perfect move to give Rockets fans the illusion that the team is not trying to tank. Honestly, I would love to see Morey flip Martin, Scola and Dalembert for some 2012 1st rounders.
Man, this fallacy has been addressed over and over again. I would like the Rockets to flip them for Dwight Howard, but that's not going to happen either. No team is going to give up high draft picks for these guys at their salary. The draft being so deep makes it even less likely.
...or Competent Starting Center Even though the Rox do not have a superstar or an official all-star, with consistency particularly from Hill and Thabeet, I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets could be 3-Deep with Youth at every position. The compressed NBA schedule this season along with the Rockets current roster may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the Rox. With Coach McHale helping the team limit turnovers, mistakes, and have them playing to Win at all costs, the Rockets should have a Wide and Fluid rotation with fresh legs and clearer heads more often then not. This should give them an advantage playing against other teams relying more heavily on a limited rotation where there will be less rest for starters and regular rotational players. Fatigue and exhaustion can also be very dangerous to any team as players can be more susceptible to season or career ending injuries. There is always Room For Improvement. Coach McHale should be able to assist Dalembert with some post moves and footwork among other things... Dalembert has a wingspan as wide as a Whooping Crane at 7.5 feet http://www.nba.com/playerfile/samuel_dalembert/bio.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whooping_Crane Although Chandler is an NBA Champ, you kinda think that Dalembert has also envisioned himself doing similar things to what Chandler did on that Mavs squad. With Samuel Dalembert's High Character, the Houston Rockets WIN in many ways No Layups or Easy Dunks !!! C'est Bon
The team already has first round picks for the upcoming draft. There is no need to trade them. Enjoy the ride because it will be something special come playoff time.
