Called it, 3 year deal, though I thought third year will be partial guaranteed, but nevertheless this will not stop the Rockets rebuilding.
Hopefully Les is happy and we somehow land a star later this year.

lottery pick seldom equals superstar. The NBA is lucky to get even one superstar in a draft, I don't see the Rockets getting a superstar in this draft unless they have a shot at Andre Drummond. The Rockets are not that bad.

Get over it. If anything it would have likely been around the 14th pick again. We got Morris and donatas (who is looking like a steal) last year, and this year we will have the Knicks 1st rounder as well as possibly two high second rounders. Our team is loaded with youth. Our roster us already crowded. I know the 2012 draft is deep but there is no way a star would fall to us in the teens. And you know what? Maybe Terrence just might pan out. In the mean time, let's enjoy the season. The Rockets were never tanking to begin with.

It wasn't about agreeing or not agreeing or that he didn't like what you said...

We filled the position of biggest need, with the best player available, with the money we had under the cap, with a contract that didn't bind us in the future, to try and be as competitive as we can and actually make the playoffs.

That's what we are suppose to do right?

The West is a lot worse this year. I could see the Rockets being a top 5 team easily.

I think it would put a lot of people at ease if someone would just travel to NY and kneecap Amare or 'Melo.

Not both though, they can't be TOO bad.

    Chandler Career: 662 GP, 8.3 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 1.3 BPG, 57% FG, 27.3 MPG

    Dalembert Career: 662 GP, 8.1 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 1.9 BPG, 52% FG, 26.1 MPG

IMO, we got a bargain compared to what NY signed Chandler to.

    Props to Murray!

Me too, but I'd take a championship over a championship caliber roster any time!

    Wheeee! This is fun!!

Essentially used the money on not resigning Hayes for Dalembert. Not bad DM. It looks to be a safe contract and easily moved.

    Starting lineup:

    Interior D- Dalembert
    Interior O- Scola
    Outside O Martin/Bud/Scola/Lowry
    Outside D- Lowry

Much more balanced on both sides now.

Imo what took so long was that the Rox was 9 mill under the cap. Sam wanted the whole nine so instead the Rox worked it where he gets close to that by giving him 7 and the buyout of 1.5 which I think they will buy him out to join in the free agent frenzy.

Just wait for one of those contending teams center to go down.

They will give us a few picks and decent players to get our center to play for them!

Reading http://www.kingsfans.com/forums/showthread.php?43214-Dalembert-Signing...with-Houston!!/page8, the majority of the posters are pretty upset by this.

Sucks for them, hope they get better.

It was as much a trade as Rashard Lewis or Lebron was.

Why are you guys acting like we just signed 1995 era Shaq???!!
Dalembert is so overrated. Signing Dalembert (role player at best) is like signing a black Brad Miller, no racial.
