I'll repeat that DM has done a terrific job at remaining competitive while rebuilding. We're a young team with 3 vets now. We still covet that superstar though. They don't grow on trees unless you get lucky in the draft.
ZachLowe_SI Zach Lowe Dalembert deal with HOU just feels like last two people at the dance, wanting a quick fling low on passion. In other words: Makes sense. Haha.
We are trying to be as good as possible while: 1) Not tanking 2) Maintaining maximum payroll flexibility. We low-balled Dalembert and he took it. I don't like him much as a player, but at that low-ball price, why not?
This has to be 100% Alexander. There is no way that Morey would pass up the chance at a high draft pick this season.
Just saying.....Les track record.....Good cast around Hakeem, who was not drafted in his time.....had rare success after those 2 years..... That's an ok but not impressive record either
I was right, Sammy D's prefernce was most likely to leave the Kings if the money is about the same. For once, somebody else's team is being used for leverage.
Probballdraft Probasketballdraft Dalembert spurned more money to play in Houston. Coupled with Battier there is evidence that maybe players do care about winning. Welcome to the H, Sammy D!

I dont understand why everyone is so down on this, its a great deal cap wise, ive always felt that we were one 7 ft. defensive center next to scola and one player who can take over down the stretch away from contending. we got one, maybe someone like lowry can develop into the other. I'm all for this signing.
Short-term thinking. And I would rather start Hill, and see how he fares against Howard, along with Patterson and Thabeet. We just pushed their development back another year. Repeat of 10-11 with Chuck Hayes eating up our rookies development time. Would anyone honestly say last season was a good one? Besides the development of Lowry, last season kinda sucked. And we are heading for that same season with the signing of Dalembert.
Clutch, have you heard any trade rumors or the like? Are they building towards a move later in the season which will make sense of this signing?
So does this help or hurt our chances of re-signing Chuck after his contract was voided by the Kings?
I have an even better "concept", and it's in my sig, but Les will probably get his 8th seed team, so congrats, I guess.
Put yourself in an owner's shoes. Being in the playoff hunt puts people in the seats. It's common sense. I'm sure the ones moaning about the owner like DD would really support our team if we put out a garbage team. We have a lot of talent on this team. It sucks that some of you can't see it.
Too bad we didn't sign him a few days back so we could see what he has tonight. Anyone think he will start Monday if he passes physical?
WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Kings made Dalembert his two best offers of guaranteed money over past 2 weeks, sources say, but he clearly wasn't inclined to return there. I like this he wanted to be here not just about money
