Some people may disagree with me, but nowadays all HTC phones are the same. They look the same, and feel the same. (usually) Alot of people who got the Sensation or the Rezound say that it's going to be okay because they're going to get ICS in a few months. Truth is, besides adding a few ICS features, you're essentially going to have the same exact thing. Except now, in your build.prop it says Android 4.0.2 or whatnot
Got it today (posting from it now). My first experience with Android, figured I'd start learning the new OS, rather than learn the previous revison and then upgrade later. So far, I'm liking it.
I thought I was crazy for thinking the same thing. But glad someone else agrees. HTC phones in the past year all seem exactly the same. Same sense skin and same build quality. What is the point of them making so many different minor variations of the same phone. And yes, when these htc phones upgrade to ICS they will still look exactly the same since it will be masked by that stupid sense 3.0 crap they shove down our throats.
Sammy phones have had a same particular style lately too. If it works, don't break it.... (until Apple comes up with a superior new design to copy)
I'm not even an Apple user... And phone design has stayed mostly the same per each company. Isn't it true that the Galaxy line has been Samsung's standard for the last 3 or 4 iterations? I don't mean it as a slight at all. <~~~Trying to justify keeping my Razr.
The Razr is a very good phone. Truth be told, I almost went with it. The deal-breakers were fixed battery (on a 4G LTE phone? I think not) and ICS (yeah, I know it'll get ICS within the next 6 months, but with Motoblur on top. Meh). The only knock I could really find against the Nexus Prime were battery life (which is an issue on ALL 4G LTE phones) and lack of expandable memory (with everything going "cloud", that's not that big a deal to me). Trading off those small problems to get the Google flagship phone is a no-brainer to me.
was kidding with you. did you get the razr after november 15? if so, do yourself a favor and just take it back. btw, i've never been completely satisfied with a stock browser until now. better than dolphin.
If you've used both, what were your impressions on why you wouldn't keep it? The nitpickier, the better. I feel that unless I have a GN for a week, I don't know for sure what my pro/cons would be.
The inability to pull the battery out is a big deal for me lol. Especially on an LTE device. I myself have never owned a razr but that's one thing that totally made me not want it.
You mean like an Iphone or a 4g touchpad? There's a vid online with a dude opening the razr with one hand. Damn thing snaps back together! Build quality+1 I figure once I go that route of jimmying it open, I could add an ugly skin to keep it together or reglue it. Very DIY-ish, but not a big deal until I need it.
You being serious? lol. If so, good luck. Yeah Motorola has build quality, I'll give them that. I just don't like their futuristic designs. Anyone with a RAZR like the whole smart actions? ( I forgot exactly what it's called)
Warranty what? I like the smart actions and use it frequently. I haven't tried Taskr, but I hear it does similar things and more. Might be worth purchasing for Android power users. If I keep the damn thing, I'll get Moto's battery charger attachment and expense it.
mottorolla phones have decent hardware... but horrible software. Their moto blur crap slows down android. The galaxy nexus uses harware acceleration with ICS and is pure android. Plus the Nexus has a way better screen than the Razr. The only advantage the razr has is the higher mp camera.
So I'm going crazy with this phone. Overclocked to 1.35ghz, undervolted, GPU at 384mhz, and I have a mod for full GPU rendering versus software.
Pretty good actually since I have it undervolted. I'm also not on the stock kernel so the sleep issues have been addressed. If anything, it's actually way better. The new radio also helps with battery life.
