They have never won a prime-time game on the road. They have never beaten the New York Jets. Due to their multiple seasons of ineptitude and mediocrity, the Texans are relatively unknown on the national scene. The few national games they have had often turn into losses. This is the NFL, every team can lose on any given Sunday, even our beloved Texans.
The Texans never won more than 9 games. They never won the division. They never went to the playoffs. They never won a playoff game. They have never started 4-0. Should I keep going?? The Texans MIGHT lose tomorrow, but it has nothing to do with anything they've done in the past. It's stupid to even cite that as a reason to be worried.
The main point of this thread is to ask if there's still a mentality with this team and fan base if they are the "same ole Texans" feeling. Traditionally tomorrow's MNF game will be a game the Texans will lose.
How many Monday night games have they lost after starting a season 4-0 coming off a playoff year? How many of those Monday night losses has Wade Phillips been the DC?
I hate that argument about never beating a team. Sure it's true, but it's not the same team every year.
i know what u mean. we are good but ur just waiting for the game that we fall short n loose. a year ago, i would be scared . not saying that im still not. this is a different year. forget the past.
Last year with Schaub, the Texans crushed inferior opponents. The Jets are without many key players, so if you are a betting man, you would realize this game is as safe as they come. I always get a kick out of people who bring up the cliche, "the last time we played so and so". Wake up non-believers, this is a different team, and yes Kareem Jackson turns his head around now.
