Can't let this thread fall to the 2nd page because of a bye week last week!

Kats are now ranked #2. I would think that if we win out (strong possibility, no jinx), we would be in the opposite bracket with NDSU. If we're going to finally beat those guys, we stand a much better chance in Frisco than we do in the Fargo Dome.

NDSU almost lost to Northern Iowa this past weekend, BTW. How sweet would it be if they lost a game and had to come to Huntsville for the semi-finals?

That would be cool, but we probably still wouldn't have more fans in the stadium than NDSU - they had well over half the stadium in Frisco and their college has about 5,000 less students. Sad considering Sam is just 3 hours away and NDSU is 16 hours away.

My hope is that NDSU somehow slips up in the playoffs and gets knocked out before we play them. I don't think we stand a chance against them even in Huntsville.

As for the Lamar game, isn't Lamar terrible? I probably won't stay for the whole game if we go up by 30 before the half. Also, I hope it doesn't rain again. 60% chance though.

NDSU isn't your typical FCS program. They don't have to compete with 10 other FBS schools in their state like we do. They're pretty much like the LSU of FCS. The only school in their state that matters. Hell, College Game Day was in Fargo a few weeks ago.

Their fans buy up all the Frisco tickets as soon as they can - before the season even starts, if I'm not mistaken. If they don't make it, they can just sell them later.

And yes, Lamar is a joke. We should roll over them easily. The only challenge left on our regular season schedule is the visit to McNeese next weekend. And Central Arkansas for the last game. Maybe sfa for the rivalry factor, although they lost to Prairie View......LOL....

SHSU vs Lamar and the officials. This is unreal.

Did they abandon the game because of weather?

NDSU's year again this year. Don't forget they beat K-State this year. IN K-State.

I didn't see the game, but based on what I've read in the box score and on KatFans, it seems like it was kind of an ugly, odd game.

Overall, SHSU had 5.2 yards per rush, but Lamar was able to hold Flanders to 83 on 28 rushes for a three yard average. I would imagine that played a big role in the Bearkat offense not really ever getting going.

Kudos to the defense for doing their part when the offense was struggling. Lamar quarterback Caleb Berry completed well under 50% of his passes and they held the running game to 2.6 yards per rush.

Next week is going to be a test. McNeese is 5-1 on the season and "The Hole" down in Lake Charles is a really tough place to pay.

So they did finish the game? Hope that score doesn't hurt them in the rankings.

Yeah, the game restarted at about 7. I think the ranking is going to be fine. For starters, voters will almost never drop a team after a win and second, one of the regular posters over at KatFans mentioned that the #3 and #4 teams lost yesterday, so it's not like the teams immediately behind them made a great case for being moved up.

    Still #2 in all polls.

How weird must it have been to have a 3 hour delay so you could come back and play the last 3 minutes?

I remember being excited to have so many home games this year after only a few last year, but this is the 2nd one in a row to have a long weather delay. And the 1st 3 were against opponents that, frankly, didn't belong on the same field as us.

McNeese is going to be tough, but it will really show us where we are. Tough opponent on the road in a game that may decide the SLC champion.

    EAT EM UP.

    Great TX Saturday

#2 in both polls only NDSU ahead of us. Also, just wanted to point out that I am so proud to be a Texan!
    aTm over Ole Miss
    UT over OU
    UH over Memphis
Rice over UTSA* (TX school had to lose, glad it was them)
    Tech over Iowa St
    Baylor over Kstate
    TCU over Kansas
    North TX over Mid Tenn
Only UTEP and Texas St lost to out of state opponents in FBS.
8-3 in FBS play for the state
Nothing beats a Sam Houston victory though ;-)
I wish every Saturday could be like this past one!

McNeese game will be on ESPN 3.

Dish doesn't carry ESPN 3, but I've heard you can watch online for free? Do you have to have the ESPN app? And is there any way you can watch the game through your PS3? I've heard people saying you can do it through your XBox.

Your ISP has to be one of their approved ISPs in order to get ESPN3. Uverse is an approved one, so I can watch it through my 360 with my Gold membership.

I have a gig Saturday night and was hoping to watch it on my iphone via the watchESPN app, but when I click on Verizon for my provider and try to log in, it's telling me my Verizon account doesn't exist. I know it does and I know the ID and password are correct because I log onto Verizon's website every day.

    Any suggestions?

Does Verizon have separate log ins for wireless and cable? I know AT&T does. If I tried with our wireless log in, it wouldn't let me watch.

Damn, I didn't even know Verizon HAD cable. Yes, that's the problem. The app is asking for your TV provider, not your wireless provider. And I don't see Dish as one of their options, so I guess I'm screwed.

Missin last Saturday bad. Aggies and coogs blowin leads at pretty much the same time. Sam just wasn't on today. Although the running into punter was weak, shouldn't have been called, which led to 1st TD. The worst was the receiver with the 2nd TD didn't catch it, ball hit turf, should have been incomplete pass. Don't know if those would have mattered the way Sam was playing though. Really nobody but Bell, williams and the kicker showed up
