Sam Dekker isn't the Great White Hope (I guess that's DMo, going by the posters on this forum, although I do hope he rounds into form), but Dekker has to knock off a lot of rust from his game before we can actually pronounce him the Great White Nope.

Yes, Morey should have drafted a PG, but that's water under the bridge. Actually, the river reached flood stage and carried that bridge away by now.

Not surprising. The Rocks had an unusually long stretch of days off before the Jazz game, so Dek had a chance to have a team practice in Houston. Makes sense to me.

LOL very much the certified scrub and bust that I said he will be right when we wated the 18th pick to draft him and have said every single time someone mentions this useless fool as a potential Rockets player

Not a fair assessment. No rookie should ever be called a scrub. Scrub.

    10 points ... OK
5/14; 0-6 ... Already fits in with the brick brigade.
5 reb ... More than Terrence Jones, D-Mo, Harrell & Capela combined
0 ast ... Marcus Thornton is impressed
    3 turnovers ... OK

    BRING THIS GUY UP!

It is indeed the smartest of smart moves to LOL and proudly label a rookie just coming off of back surgery, based solely on his 3 first games in the D-League.

A very fine, fine post my good sir.

Hope derker kills it. I kinda don't think he will based on what he looked like in preseason, but maybe he was just hurt then??

He reminds me a little bit of Kevin Martin playing off the ball

Won't judge him for a while. Tough to get a gauge on any rookie coming off of the surgery he just had.

And ladies n gentleman, this is your 1st round pick. He barely keeps up with the lowest tier players in the country.

He was a good slasher in college and always moving towards the paint for easy buckets. Dude was pretty efficient in college, especially in the paint. He just needs more time to get an accurate picture of his abilities, should know more when summer league is in swing.

Exactly. I mean, if he was tearing the D league up already while coming back from a microdiscectomy and a year off of basketball then he'd be superman.
