King's ransom? Seriously? You say that even today? Wow. Rockets gave up very little for CP3. Clippers had no leverage and Morey took advantage. As we can see now, OKC gave up plenty for PG. If he doesn't sign long term, they were fleeced. On the other side, Pacers are very happy with the return. The Kyrie trade was a grand slam home run for the Celts. I just don't understand why everyone didn't see the obvious from the beginning.
King's ransom???? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Please. When I watch Chris Paul make this team into the title contender they are, giving up a couple of bench players is more than worth it, even including Pat who I liked A LOT doesn't make me regret it for one nanosecond.
We traded out players that we can sign on free agency for the same money or even less, but we got a player that half league will line up if he is on market, the other half either know that they don’t have a chance or money for it.
Sam Cassell would destroy this league with the new rules. He did awesome with Bucks and Clippers as a starter. Since you can't hand check, Sam would hit those mid range jumpers all day.
Dekker is a smart player and good in transition. But I don't see him bringing anything else to the table. I remember a quote that Rockets brass felt he might eventually turn into Harrison Barnes type player. He will not be as good as Barnes is. Dekker can't hit the 3 and has not offensive moves. He is just a slasher.
Called him a scrub when he was drafted, just didn't like his game and he looks stiff out there, everything looks robotic. DD
PatBev is a f'ing bum and I don't regret his non-talented hustling non-factor. Chris Paul for that trade is justifiable times a million. The only problem is trying to keep this team together for next season.
Idk about king's ransom but the Clippers were absolutely not fleeced. CP wanted out and they got a boat load (pun intended) of rotation level players for him. Lou, Bev, Harrell, Dekker, and a bunch of guys. Dekker doesn't have Jon Lucas teaching him anymore. What did you expect?
