Once again you must have the ability to read and understand the english language. I said Dally would have the same type of effect on the Rockets that Chandler had on the Mavs. I did not say and even typed that this did not mean is makes the Rockets are suddenly championship contenders. Since you clearly don't know the effect Chandler had on the Mavs allow me to spell it out for you 'readbadly'. Chandler gave the Mav's an inside presence that included shot blocking and rebounding that the team was lacking. Chandler play is exactly what transformed the Mav's defense. That is the effect I'm talking about. Adding Dally to the Rockets is not going to suddenly transform Chase into Dirk.
nice try.. not giving the spurs credit is all you're doing now huh?!.. after getting exposed on the original "argument"...you're now taking a convenient detour... look, if you can't be man enough to admit you've lost an "argument"?...oh well... just wasting time here...
If you look that way.... I didn't start the argument and I don't care winning an argument....the most important fact is Rockets won.......and Spurs played poorly.... FYI the argument can only be won if the Spurs make it past the 2nd round and show they are elite
Ok genius, since i have enjoyed your posts in the past, let's try this one more time. Your exact quote was... So "crashingn2wall" what you are doing is contradicting yourself in one statement. Dallas lacked rebounding/shotblocking. They got it, were able to contend, then eventually won a championship.
I might add If you call that losing argument because I said the Spurs are old.....then you must be after the whole media landscape. I am just saying what everybody is saying....Spurs are old....and they don't have Tyson Chandler You are right we are wasting a lot of time here......
I agree the Spurs are an aging team. Still, they are a very crafty bunch. Still able to win games in bunches.
I said Dally would have the same type of effect. I did not say the end results for the team would be as fruitfull. That is what I said period. If you cant understand that then you are clearly and idiot and need to go back to school. You can't even quote me correctly. So instead of arguing with me over semantics, why not just enjoy the fact that we have a true shot blocking, rebounding center that looks like he is going to have a hell of a great effect on our defense.... much like Chandler had a great effect on the Mavs defense. And no I'm not backing off of that quote.
Good point. They are still one heck of a team who can upset some teams.....it's just Tim Duncan not averaging 26 pts and 13 rbs, playing 38 minutes and dominating any more. And their best player seemed to be Manu with 20 pts performances so far.......if he is healthy that's ok for them.
Hey, you're the one with all the insults. Don't take it so personally. Just post clearly next time. Less wishy-washy. That way it reads more like English.
I'm not sure he is ready for that yet. Maybe only 10-12 for starters. Dally looks like he can handle 30 minute game.
Like Bill Simmons said, height definitely matters in THE POSTSEASON when BOTH teams are playing hard all-out not COASTING in the regular season. Then its length that can be a deciding factor. Chuck Hayes and Battier can outwork and overachieve during the regular season. When things get more intense in the playoffs and even the Erick Dampier/Eddy Currys are giving effort, the "success by hustle" element lessens.
I wouldnt object to 30 minutes a game IF he can handle it. But Dalembert's only done that twice in his career. The last time 4 seasons ago. He's 30 years old and will turn 31 during the playoffs, he's kinda an is-what-he-is type now.
I'm not sure of having 24 minutes a game for Thabeet either. If THATS the case, then yeah stretch more time out of Dalembert... leebigez said Hill just backing up Scola, but then who does Patterson back up? Not just Thabeet, you gotta give those guys minutes too. So rotating Scola & Patterson, then Dalembert, Hill & Thabeet, THATS how I figure Dalembert won't get 30 minutes cuz that'll mean he's keeping a 1-3 young guys on the bench who need time.
He looked way better than I remembered or expected. I really enjoyed watching him play. I rationally know this was just one win on an older team on a back-to-back but he fired me up, thinking we could get some really solid C play this year. Welcome Sammy, let's have some fun! (I just expected a finger wave on that blocked shot though, I don't think Mutumbo will mind)
