With 22 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots in his first start of the season, Eddie Griffin gave Kevin Garnett plenty reason to bark. After the game, Wolves coach Dwane Casey said, "As long as he is playing at that level, he is our starting center."

I'm happy for him. I hope he keeps things going in the right direction.

    League Ranks per 48 min

    Blocks per 48 minutes

RNK NAME GP MPG BLK PF BLKPG BLKP48M BLK/PF

    2nd Eddie Griffin, MIN 25 18.3 55 44 2.20 5.78 1.25

    Rebounds per 48 minutes

    5th Eddie Griffin, MIN 25 18.3 44 1.8 109 4.4 153 6.1 16.1

Count in me as well on those who would like to know how one game suddenly puts "salt in the wounds".

Seriously, do you even think before you post? lol.

Look at his stats per 48 before you run your trap. I dont see any young, athletic Rocket powerfowards even in the same ball park. The point is Eddie was a young guy with potential and the Van Gundy regime didn't care to weather his storm. Yeah its one game so what.

I guess your happy with your old ass role players constantly in rehab.

Funny that this is posted the morning after Swift has by far his best game as a Rocket. Plus, he doesn't shoot at people.

Ok so my question is, what would you have our team do about it?

To be honest, most teams would have dealt with Griffen the way the Rockets did.

Stats per 48 are the worst possible numbers to use in the NBA. They're absolutely worthless, because they fail to take into account WHY players are getting the minutes they are.

Yeah, I mean look at the Lakers. They kept Kobe after he basically raped someone.

For starters, I'd get a head coach that cultivates young talent, even when they screw up. So when your veteran guys go down you have something to fall back on. The Rockets have no plan B.

Nobody wanted to give up on Eddie, especially after Rockets paid such a high price for him. YOu are wondering about why we don't have youth and depth? Does Eddie's name ring a bell? He screwed up and he gave up here. What do you want the Rockets to do? He needed a fresh start to sort things out. Apparently, things did work out for him after a while, and he's on the good path. I am happy for him, a gifted kid. Is it necessary to cry over him everytime he has a good game? I can understand people cries over Horry and Sam, because they were doing well at the time we traded them, but we got Barkley back, although it didn't work out. But for Eddie, he didn't perform and didn't want to. Geez, can we make a sticky for Eddie, so people can get sentimental about him after every good game he had.

By the way, what makes you think he would do well in the Rockets? Just because his talent? Why don't we get Kemp then?

They are one of the best stats, along with plus +/-. The only thing they dont' account for are stamina and durabilty.

Reasons why he'd do good with the Rockets.

His game compliments Yaos, just like I'm sure its going to be complimenting Kevin Garnett's for a long time.

He rebounds and blocks well. Things that rocket PF can't do. I'm not sure that swift can't be that guy. But not with Van Gundy. I'm sure his "braintrust" will trade Swift for garbage and J kidd will turn him into Kenyon Martin.

Barkley trade one of the worse in Houston History

As for Eddie. . .. I think a different Coach is doing wonders for him
Slandering and sarcasm via the media doesn't work for all players
