Salmons can play the 1-2-3 postions. He would give us one of the most versatile lineups in the nba. Imagine this small ball lineup...... Alston Salmons McGrady Battier Yao The mismatches the Rockets could create with three playmakers.
What a tool. He is on the verge of saying goodbye to the NBA and hello to the NBDL with his numbers, and now he rejects the 23 mill offer: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2526850
I just don't understand what's going through this guy's head. He gets a great offer from Phoenix, where everyone does great and raises their value, but he inexplicably turns down the offer to play in Canada. Ok, that seems like an unorthodox move, but a solid one, since Toronto is trying to build a fun uptempo team as well. Then, he backs out of that deal with seemingly no backup plan in place. Must have been the weather and taxes. And when you think about it, the guy had no business getting those types of offers anyway. Just a bizarre situation. Kind of reminds me of Radmonavic turning down 42 million.
It's interesting that he is unrestricted which can potentially make it easy for any team to obtain him. I don't think that the Rockets are interested in him.
It's being reported on KHTK that we just signed Salmons for the MLE. The full MLE. I just threw up in my mouth a little.
