Stoudemire is more of a small SG, in the Eddie House mold. I think most of his non-garbage time minutes (if any) would be played alongside a SG who can control the offense like Manu.
really small though I think salim is like 6'0? chances are he wont see too much floor time unless he improves his PG skills
Luther Head lite. Same shooting, worse defense, worse attitude, probably even worse at PG. Typical guy that had skills in the NCAA but doesn't fit the NBA mold.
Salim would have been much better off as a Sun. The Spurs have loaded depth and preach defense 1st, not a great place for him.
Well I don't think the slogan is defense first, but they are trying to break the association between "Phoenix Suns defense" and "¡Ole!"
My thoughts exactly. He's a chucker on top of all that. He won't play. Not really news but of course this qualifies as a typical batkins "news" thread.
agreed. but back to stoudamire in san antonio; he's part of a half assed youth movement that started with roger mason. i see mason and stoudamire as a reserve back court or combo guards. neither is good enough to play the point full time but together they may be able to cover each others weaknesses.
Yup and unfortunately for Hawks fans standing pat with that squad wasn't even an option due to them completely fumbling the Childress negotiations and having no draft picks.
