Salary CAP

    Calling Bima,

    with Texans signing all these players and cutting Andre. where does Texans stand on Salary Cap to spend.

    There isn't anybody on the internet than can make an accurate assessment of a team's cap. Teams can cut or change contracts on a whim. There aren't specific boundaries to work within like there is in the NBA. You can make generalizations but nothing definitive can be said.

    It appears they have Kareem and Mallett updated on their list, but not Newton. Assuming that Newton's number is going to be around $6.75M, they should have around $6M left. I think they have until 3pm to trade or release Fitzpatrick to gain an additional $3.25M. If they don't cut or trade anyone else, that should give them $9-10M. And that is already factoring in the roughly $5M expected draft cost.
