Missed majority the 1st half, but Clowney looked superhuman against backups.

The one for the 1st down looked like a body catch. The others will caught in stride, though I don't know if that's a good throw by Oz or if Fuller did a great job at pacing himself.

Yeah, so they were all body catches. It's not a problem yet, but he really needs to work on it. Also, as a result, I don't think they target him like that in the end zone in the regular season. Plays like the first long one are more his speed.

He also looked superhuman against their starters.

Yeah, they were all body catches. I think they'll stick with targeting Hopkins in the red zone. Body catches don't work on fades.

don't see us cutting a 4th round rookie

as someone mentioned, they may come up with a mysterious injury and stash him on IR

wonder if the week 1 roster might only have 2 QBs, like last year

Agreed. Hope we don't see that many rifle passes to Fuller in the red zone but both guys looked a lot more comfortable this game. Not sure if Peat is actually that bad but Clowney had his way with him.

His role on this team is mainly going to be a Shane Vereen role in our offense. We barely used him in the passing game which from tons of reports in practice, he's been excelling at.

I don't see us cutting him either, though I do see us stashing him on IR if he is willing. I really hoped we would trade Blue and move up Grimes.

Carrying 2 QB's seem risky, especially if our O-Line starters don't return as soon as expected. Considering how the last couple of seasons went, I would actually like to keep Weeden around on the roster.

I dont care if Fuller catches with his hands or his nuts...he's going to help us tremendously this season. Braxton too.

“There were some good things in the passing game.” Bill O’Brien on the offense. Liked the two minute drill to end the half. #Texans

"It going to come down to special teams & how we use them on offense. Maybe you keep them both" OB on Ervin & Hunt

I asked Hop if he added something to his game to improve YAC. He smiled, mumbled "#1 WR in the NFL with catches over 20 yards"
    I shut up.

OB says he usually doesn't mention rookies but DJ Reader has really come on.

Pretty happy to see the lack of vanilla. Much better performances on offense especially.

Im really happy with how we played...however, there is something that always seems to get us...and that's the other QB scrambling for good chunks of yards. It seems like a few times a game, we allow the other QB to find space and scramble for a big first down.

We play a lot of mobile QBs, so I just worry that this can really hurt us.
